Nope. Baalke resigned the great devey.

And devey plays RG not RT thanks try again. Also it's like the vet min and they need 90 players on the roster right now, your crazy if you think he's gonna be suiting up on game day.

This.

The only way Brown is not the RT to start the season is if Davis comes and he performs better in camp. Other than that, Brown is solid and was an absolute steal in the 7th round. Too bad our coaches were too inept to see this and make the change immediately

yup agreed he's 6-8 1/2 with 36 inch arms if his conditioning is on point we could have a monster RT for years...sounds like we got our self a heck of a OL coach as well.

As for AD, I've soured on him because of his attitude and lack of any definitive action to get reinstated. I think Trent Brown will be more than fine at RT...he simply needs experience. Beadles was a good p/u for LG and taking 2-3 OL in the draft should fix RG and provide much better quality depth. It also wouldn't surprise me at all to see TB grab a vet who gets cut...there are a number of teams (a la Denver, Jets, Miami, etc.) right up against their cap.

I wouldn't be suprised if they grab Garnett at 37...chip was all over him at the pro day. Can't hate on tiller either outside of Staley he was our best Lineman last yr.

Totally agree Baalke might snag a vet OT after cuts ( doesn't count against comp picks either) I'll welcome back Davis but wouldn't guarantee him the starting job.

Agreed!

Ditto

Can't wait to see how Trent Brown looks in camp

If he comes in looking leaner than 1st season you gotta believe he's hungry for the starting job.

agree. davis should know when you stand still, you lose ground and that is how you lose your job. people like davis make me sick as they think the job is theirs . while kids like this guy are busting it and trying to take advantage of an opportunity. all of our young kids with the awful coaching they had last year should be soooooooo much better this year. they made strides last year. looks like people like eli committed themselves in the off season and i think these kids we drafted last year will all be very very solid players for us building a nice foundation for good things to come

devey and pears will be the punching boys in the off season for our defense and camp fodder and if they are lucky they stay for back up but chances are they get cut for , perhaps a couple of rookies we draft or maybe some other vet we sign later

Yup Flaherty was with Tom his whole 12 year stint in NY dudes got a couple rings and had some solid OLs. I think it was a massive upgrade.

He played well in limited action last season and should be in the mix for the starting RT job this season. Other than that, the rest is just details.

Yeah, standing still means you're going nowhere. And as far as AD goes, we need to move on.

If he comes back - play him at Guard or trade him or whatever.

I always want the underdog guy to make it. Trent Brown starting and playing well would be something to cheer about.
Trent Brown can be an animal at RT!!!!!!!!!!!

If AD should grace us with his presence, Trent brown STILL starts. But don't worry about AD....he isn't coming.

Good post man!

Totally agree w/Buckner.

IMO, if we have to give up some low 6-7 round picks to move up to get him so be it.

If we don't, IMO, we should trade to get Butler.

I think both guys will be forces to contend with for years to come.

Agree

If he does then play him at RG.

Then, we'll have an experienced replacement for tackle if necessary.

Also, and IMO overlooked, by the time the season starts AD hasn't played in almost 2 years.

We should keep developing Trent and an eventual replacement for Staley.

Nope, cc, don't want to see either of those guys, and not. Martin either. They showed it last yr and showed it bad. They had all the opportunity and they all 3 failed. Bad choices, Trent. Hopefully with chip to consult we get better at OL picks this yr. Am really anxious to see ZAne. Seems like a good guy...but can he play? Man I hope so.

ONe other thing. Kilgore(OC draftee)/ tiller/ brown/... Bell. Think on that a minute. R sided sweeps would be massively awesome.

Wonder if this guy got bigger.

Might give AD a run of he even comes back.
