One of the first things I thought of, but pretty sure they just didn't want to give him the $$$$ he wanted in FA. On the other hand, NE is pretty good at getting rid of problem players.

It was a lot more than that. He was seen as a 1st round talent with poor work ethic and a guy that was difficult to coach.

Lynch & Coach were wise to move on from TB...he played well at times, but his weight will always be a problem unless he makes up his mind to control it. Any domestic violence charges are only going to make his NFL tenure dubious. It's Mayock & Gruden's problem now...hopefully they can get through to him IF the DV issue gets resolved without Brown getting suspended or released by the Raiders.
