Eli just never did anything to distinguish himself as a difference maker. could set the edge decently but never could make an impact. doom would be welcome

A 7th for Adam Peters ain't no joke

A good example of why being a great athlete does not equate to a pass rusher. Eli never improved his ability to get after the QB after college.

Very pleased to hear he was traded. This is a compliment to Pita, who's quietly been very impressive.

Really this came down to the pass rush. Harold can't do it. He's a run defender, little else.

So we just saved $1.8 mil, unloaded a guy who never really produced as expected, was NOT good enough to start here, and we still got some of those 7th round CRUMBS that Peters seems to make a living with. Eli was going nowhere here, and we needed to unload him. He was just taking up cap space. And yes, i am surprised anybody would take him . Man does it ever make a huge difference when your GM team is this astute. I was certain this was just going to be a $1.8 mil cut with nothing in return. Add in kyle with these two and there are our 3 GOLDEN BOYS. Yesssssss.

Eli never improved, and that is what matters. I think they are just going to keep giving others a chance and see what happens.
