Agree, Lynch is more apt to take a top DL early in the draft now. Armstead's showing the wear & tear...which is understandable, but doesn't help the team like he used to.

Definitely a no on Kinlaw. With thar injury history? Pass. Just draft a two guys and let the best man win.

Go get paid Arik! Love you man!

Years back I wanted us to keep Buckner and let Arik go... seemed like the logical thing to do... but since, Arik as played at a high level when he's been on the field.

Can't wait to see where he ends up.

Texans would be a great fit.

Not so far fetched now. We have Hargrave and Kalil Davis and maybe one more. That's it. I need a drink lol
Wow, no more AA?
but I need those belly rubs tho

Finally got rid of this terrible contract.

Yeah, not really. We'll be paying for it the next two seasons at least.

Baalke pick, Jags could do with an upgrade on the DL. Wouldn't shock me.
Darius Robinson in the 1st? Or Braden Fiske in the 2nd?
We just kept kicking the can down the road and finally decided to rip the band-aid off. I am no cap expert but if they are going to cut him, it has to save some sort of money over the long term. I am sure injury concerns are part of the reason. Wish him the best. He was always a solid player even if he never lived up to the contract.
Good night, my good man, thank you for your services. Now, good night!

Hopefully, 49ers snag run stuffer in FA and two in draft (3rd and 6th rd picks). Also, make a deal with K. Mack (please not J, Bosa)

The financial side is confusing. I'm seeing many say the cap saving is $4.5M. However, MM, IIRC, said he would be designated a post-June 1 cut. According to OvertheCap there is an $18M cap savings. I'm assuming everyone with the $4.5M number is considering a pre-June 1 cut.

???

I have not seen the $4.5 million number. Everyone I've seen says it's only a $2.5 million savings now, so almost sure to be a post-Just 1st.
He has arguably been the best defensive tackle in the playoffs for the last couple years besides Chris Jones. Sucks but he's injured a lot now and a little too much money. Hopefully we can replace him with a pretty good veteran
Not gonna lie, this one hurtss a little. Kinda sucks because he has been so consistent and obviously has been huge in the locker room and community. Feel like the overpay for Hargraves is a caralyst for this, as well as the desperate need to find a formula to win the big one, but IMHO this doesn;t help....losing leaders and well-loved guys in the locker room can screw with chemistry big time.
