Bob Kravitz &rlm;@bkravitz Breaking: A league source tells me the NFL is investigating the possibility the Patriots deflated footballs Sunday night. More to come. I'm told at one point the officials took a ball out of play and weighed it. Should hear more tomorrow on this subject. Didn't have a chance to talk to colts officials about this. They were long gone when I heard this. Nobody is suggesting this is why the colts lost obviously. They were manhandled. Told if a league investigation confirms deflated footballs it will result in lost draft picks. Stay tuned.

As much as I dislike the Patriots and Tom Brady. Arizona just got a free (or much easier) win and the division comes first.

Waiting for seahawk fans to declare pats ineligible for the superbowl and claim a 2nd superbowl victory by default.

This was the best scenario that could have happened.... seahawks major choke, and superbowl really doesn't count for pats and brady forever tarnished.

If this was Reddit, I would buy you Gold! That is exactly the perfect way to look at this! The Niners may be a dumpster fire right now but seeing the Hawks lose a Superbowl and a permanent asterisk on the only player that might be compared to Joe is awesome to see for me!

maybe he had stuff on his phone that would hurt his image?

the nfl f**ked up here to. all they had to do with sit down with Brady and have him show them the texts. if I'm Brady, there's no way in hell i'm giving over my phone and allowing them to look through everything. i'm not naive enough to believe that NFL players are perfect role models, and I'm sure there would've been things on that phone (non football related) that Brady wouldn't want everybody to see.

this is the nfl we are talking about. they can swear up and down that it will stay private, but just like the substance abuse policy, the media always finds out who was taking what and when.
