Totally agree with here. The way the Patriots have reacted to this incident is, in my opinion, much worse than deflating footballs. They were clearly guilty, but now they're lawyering-up and will probably be absolved of all wrongdoing by getting off on a technicality. I mean, to have the audacity to say that "the deflator" referred to weight loss insults the intelligent of everyone and just makes a mockery out of the whole situation.

Deflate footballs for a competitive advantage? Whatever, everyone bends the rules in some way or the other. Couldn't care less. Launch a counterattack instead of accepting the punishment when you get caught? Pathetic.

The Giants destroyed us both of those games, so it's not even a matter of him being bitter, grasping at straws or making excuses. Does that slightly taint your opinion of Bill Walsh?

If you cheat then get caught you should be punished. It is simple! Everyone cheats ... everyone but when you are busted you should take your penalty just the same as anyone else should. There is no time for playing favorites and especially with repeat offenders. If your lab comes back with PED usage you get 4 games, if you are pumping in crowd noise altering equipment or any other violation outside of the game's rules you should be penalized. This ain't about my team your team this team this is about the rules and the game's integrity. If you are caught in violation then as a paying customer of the NFL I want folk to be held accountable. Most logical fans would agree unless they have a clear bias for our team. When Scotty Mac got caught tampering I shed no tears when we were penalized and I know others have done it but we got caught so we had to pay up. Simple!

Brady cheating or Bellicheck cheating takes nothing away from being the best at what they do but I don't care if it is Tom and Bill or Bowles and Geno I want cheaters caught punished regardless of their statures

I agree with you basically 100% then. Everyone cheats, so it doesn't bother me when someone gets busted. I also agree that if you're going to cheat, you need to accept the consequences if you get caught. I don't care that the Pats deflated balls, but I don't like how they refuse to accept responsibility after getting caught. Instead, they're trying to weasel their way out of it.

True. I don't lose sleep that the Pats tried to pull a fast one or us or anyone. It always happens and that is why the officials throw flags on gamedays for starters. Folk will try to get an edge in the past in the present and the future going forwards. I am not too sure we won't get busted with our redshirting tactics where players mysteriously get injured late in camp and then are stashed away for the following season's need. I don't know but if we are guilty we should have to pay up just like everyone else. Cheaters caught should be punished regardless of who it is.

Also I was a bit upset that vs BAL and SEA we weren't willing to cheat as much as we claimed those teams did in the biggest games because had we done so maybe we would have been victorious. Play the game the way the refs are calling it

That's another really great example. Reaser had an ACL, so that was understadable. Acker, though, conveniently developed a stress fracture in his foot during the end of preseason. That tactic seems very common throughout the league. But from a moral standpoint, it's questionable for sure.

I've always kind of suspected the 9ers leaned on that pillar as hard or harder than anyone else.

Part of it of course is that we're drafting more injured guys than anyone else, but the end of pre-season phantom injuries seem pretty common too.

We've had some of the leagues deepest and most talented rosters with double digit picks annually and not enough roster spots for them. In order to keep the guys we've drafted we've put them on IR and whatnot so other teams won't poach them. We drafted yen guys this year plus we got a slew of redshirts from last year. WTF we gonna do with all these guys? We got Bruce Miller and Trey Millard at FB. We got VD Vance resigned Carrier then we've drafted Bell and Busta. At OL we drafted two guys we like but our starters are set as well we've signed our swing tackle in FA already. Don't even get me started at DL. We don't know who will start between Dorsey and Ian on the nose. If Justin returns he and Docket will lead the way but we got two first rd talents behind em in Tank and Arik then we got TJE and we've redshirted Ramsey. We either trading guys stashing guys or straight up losing em this year. We can't keep all these guys unless we reporting someone injured!
