If this had been the Seahawks and a Seahawks player I would be asking the same question. If they wanted him at camp then why not contact him and make sure he understands his contract? VD just held out of voluntary OTA's and is losing $200,000 for doing so and I have no problem with that, He is aware of his choice and the cost of it and is willing to risk losing the money because he wants to leverage a new contract.

Brown and his agent screwed up but there isn't anything in any contract anywhere saying that the team couldn't have made sure he knew what he was losing. It's smart business to also make sure your players are happy and hopefully prevent them from feeling like their employer just capitalized from their mistake. You can bet it had something to do with why he chose to sign with the Raiders (of all teams) for similar money to what the Niners offered rather than staying with you guys. He fired his agent right after the ordeal and essentially fired the Niners FO by signing with a crappy team for similar money.

Whether the FO was right or wrong in doing it isn't the question. You lost one of if not your best CB in the same offseason you lost your probowl SS and your veteran slot corner, That's alot to recover from and it very likely could have been avoided unless you believe he just liked the Raiders better than the Niners of course.

go hawks!

Its like they're multiplying

And dividing.

"Well nobody is forcing you to post....blah blah f**king blah".

This is a FORTY NINERS FORUM.

That's pretty much the basis on which I operate. But the report button was put in place so that posts could be drawn to our attention. It wasn't, so you had to wait until one of us found it.

Fuvk the seahawks,dude.

Don't you think that's kind of boring though?

I used to go to a Seattle board, wasn't .net but I think like seahawks huddle or something like that like 10 years ago. It was ok, but it seemed the fans were either doom and gloom, team can't do anything right, or they always wore their rose colored glasses and the team could do no wrong. So I got bored with my own teams forum.

Then I started going a Rams site, (I think Clan Ram) for a few years when they were the primary rival in the division. Then started frequenting here when the primary rival in the division changed to the 49ers.

I think it's a lot more entertaining to read your competitions views and have a little back and forth with them rather than just your own teams fans.

I'd imagine you would get quite bored with a Pollyanna site that allowed no opposing teams fans and you just got to tell each other how good you think your team is. Wouldn't you?

Well yes and no. First off there are general NFL sites one can go post to if they want a more broad discussion. Second there is nothing wrong with debate and discussion, the problem being that it rarely remains just that. Often times the visitor feels ganged up on by the bevy of people likely to have an alternate view and they start their passive aggressive disrespectful comments in an effort to protect themselves from the onslaught and at that point there is blood in the water.

Read any thread 12thFan is a part of. See how many different posts and opinions he is responding to based on one post of his own. I actually give him credit, out of any of our rival fans he's been the most respectful, to date. A bit loopey and obviously biased in some of his opinions, but that's to be expected. Most rivals can't keep the disrespect to an absolute minimum which is the demeanor one should have at a rivals site. They are coming to our home and all....
Seattle Suckhawks.

Every hag fan that comes here is talking sht. Just cause they spray some perfume on a turd don't make cool
Good for Seattle. Usuallys the words "Seahawks" and "Class" don't go together. Though it's usually their fans with no class.

Don't worry, they'll be gone in 2 years when the Seahawks haven't won anything.
