RB Carlos Hyde Thread

Either Carlos is a pathological liar or is suffering memory loss. He said he's the lightest he's been since high school at 228 lbs, but the previous two offseasons he's said the exact same thing about coming in lighter. He himself said he was 225 lbs in 2016...

2015:

2016:

Slimming down is the proper way to put Hyde's slight transformation. The running back said he's currently at his desired weight of 225 pounds. That's just a seven-pound difference from the 232 pounds Hyde weighed Week 1 last season.

Hyde commented on rumors that he lost the weight in preparation for Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense. In reality, that decision was simply a personal choice.
"I'm just slimming down for myself," the running back said. "I just don't want to be weighing too much. I wanted to be slim for a change. Something different."

Good weight loss if he lowered fat % and gain more lean muscle. Loosing too much weight is not a really good thing since it's really hard to maintain muscle mass while on a fat/weight loss.

Actually I don't even play video games anymore... literally been like 8 years lol. It would actually make some sense and maybe they got a shot with McCoy for a wild card with Hyde and Bow. It's the off season! Figured one last funny trade proposal before TC.

We don't even know if Bow and Hyde will be here beyond this year... or KC will be there after this year. So, slap yourselves as well

LOL...nothing wrong with entertaining the thought. But trades are rare in the NFL and even more rare with teams best players.

This, it's silly talk...on to football season and trading camp

I see what you or your autocorrect did there!

He's always looked good in pre season...what's the issue is how he looks after 4 weeks of NFL punishment if he's still here by then
I'm personally expecting a very big year for Hyde, the fact that the niners went out and hopefully got him a nice duo threat partner in Williams will only contribute to Hydes great year, also the fact that Shanahan realizes it all starts with the run helps..he's going to again be the best player on offense this year..only thing now is he has more talent and a great offensive minded coach..I predict 1200 yards 10 TDs 35 receptions 4 TDs
Hyde says his goal for the season is to be the league leading rusher, anytime Frank was asked that question he'd always say his goal was for the team to make the playoffs. Feel like Hyde is a "me" guy. Not a team guy.

If he is the leading rusher by week 12 hopefully our team would be contending for the playoffs.

His goal should be to actually complete a full NFL season.

I think your memory is lacking.

A year ago, it seemed so hard. Gore fell woefully short after publicly declaring his goal was to break Eric Dickerson's single-season NFL rushing record of 2,105 yards.

He avoided similar proclamations this season — until Monday. In the span of a few minutes, Gore said he wanted the franchise's all-time rushing record, the NFL rushing title and the league lead in total yardage.

Whhhhhaaaaattttt a professional athlete is self centered? Well I never! I would prefer they lie and say it's all about the team rather than the truth of "I wanna make the all pro team, break records, lead the league in stats just so I can get a huge contract"
