Playing in the NFC West put him at a significant disadvantage, considering Arizona ranked best in yards per carry allowed (3.30), Seattle ranked second-best (3.41), and the Los Angeles Rams ranked 12th (3.99). Games against these three teams accounted for 42.4 percent of his total carries. Hyde also stood out when we looked at his offensive line's yards-before-contact-per-attempt average (seventh-worst) and how well he performed when compared to his peers (fourth-best)

What round is be he projected to be taken in fantasy for you fantasy football guys? Curious to know his projected ranking too.

13) Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco 49ers: Coach Kyle Shanahan was going to be "sick" and dreaming of rookie Joe Williams if the team didn't draft him, according to the MMQB's Peter King. So general manager John Lynch wound up trading up to get a guy in Williams who wasn't even on his draft board.

Compare that investment -- emotional and otherwise -- with the team's lukewarm appraisals of Hyde this offseason. A talented and extremely elusive runner, Hyde has one year left on a contract signed three head coaches ago. He's admittedly the biggest long shot to lose his job on this list, but Shanahan and Lynch are just starting their extreme makeover and have proven they are ready to act with conviction.

I don't see Hyde going anywhere.

IMO, there are 3 guys who could possibly get traded if the right offer was there:

A). Vance - he's the most likely

B). Aaron Lynch - it's possible but unlikely

C). Hyde - I really don't think so but he does have a lot to prove.

One thing Kyle likes is that power+versatile RB combos...like Gore+Hunter, we might be seeing a whole lot of Hyde+Williams combo this year.

Health permitting of course...deep sigh.
I see Hyde having a huge year for us and then leaving in FA next year

This. I refuse to click on the Press Democrat
Why would they cut him when he has trade value? If he doesn't fit the system get something for him. He's not old and can be a playmaker when healthy.

Straight from grant lol why in the world would the cut him?

People got to think
Yeah, Cohn's insider information about Hyde getting cut is just dumb. Of course no one knows what's going to happen in training camp but is Hyde going to get beat out by all those other running backs? I would guess not.
