How is Ahmad Brooks?

I'll always remember him for that sack against Brees that the refs botched. That team could have gone far that postseason but that one play screwed our season. I think the team did a lot to keep him out of the news. He had red flags when drafted and paid $1M to settle a broken bottle to a head. I thought he matured as a person with us and hopes he lands another job.
I had this bad dream that lynch released Brooks and everyone started to pretend Eli and Tank were actually good or even average players.

I have more faith in Tank than Eli. They should start giving Aaron Lynch and Pita some SAM looks.

I think that position will be bad until next year.

wow I thought Brooks was one of the better players on the team. Shows you what I know. All hail Kyle and John.

he would be a solid cog in a contending defense. But some of his mental bloops isn't worth hindering developing a young guy in Eli.

Wow, I contemplated them releasing Brooks, but I didn't think they'd actually do it. Pita's got a chance to make the 53 now. Kyle said Pita's been working well in Brook's position. So I'll miss Brooks, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Pita spot Elvis' in pass rushes if we happen to be ahead, which I foresee will be a rare occasion.

Eli is a vet now. The young guy is who we are drafting early in next years draft.

I didn't see this happening
Lol, we are really heading into the season with Eli and Dakota Watson as our Sam backers. I'm having a moment of clarity about how bad our defense will continue to be.
Best answer I have ever read about personnel and the final 53: Big props to Kyle because he gets it.

"You think of guys that might not be as good in Week 1 but you think they'll be ready in Week 3. What gives you the best chance to win in Week 1 and Week 8 and Week 16? You've got to play all that into account. It's rarely as simple as saying it's the starter versus the backup, versus the third string guy. It has to do with the overall 53. When you start to position stuff on guys you want to make the roster and you don't want to lose guys to other teams if you put them on practice squad or things like that. All that goes into account. So, when we start to look at the 53 and see some of the guys we'd have to lose by keeping people, that ends up making you lead to that type of decision.""
Yes, a double post but so this

Yup the refs screwed us, he won the appeal.. I believe we would have had a first round bye with that win? We would have won the tie breaker with Seattle
