BFD if they discussed a trade. You get what you can when you can.

but then for me the issues w/ play calling don't fall on greg roman they fall on jim harbaugh, he's an offensive head coach and he relays the play into colin so in effect any issues w/ our offense fall on harbaugh first not roman
maybe baalke has told harbaugh in so many words that he isn't utilizing all the weapons
I bet its something to that effect. Someone telling another how to do their job. If thats the case I can see why harbs would be ticked off.

True. As well for a GM I would want to know why the acquisitions aren't being utilized to any significant degree. I am sure there is good reason but a GM has to ask

no doubt and honestly if it was reported the Browns offered a their 2 1st rd picks and a 2nd and we declined i'd be pissed
I'd trade jim harbaugh for that and promote tomsula, the browns pick #4 and #26 and they pick at the top of the 2nd rd in this deep draft
schefter said the browns didn't even offer a 1st rd pick, York prob laughed and hung up

Wall of crazy -
Maybe Lambardi(SP) was telling the Browns owner they were in the hunt for a Harbaugh trade. The trade didn't happen and Lambardi was fired. Owner was fed a load of bull during the process. Now the Browns owner is spewing a bunch of garbage under the guise of plausible deniability (he was "misinformed" by the former GM).
Just a thought.

LaCanfora is still employed?
Somehow.
I love it. Has anyone else noticed that the controversial reports have originated with either Florio or LaCanfora, i.e. two guys that were wrong about Harbs going to Miami/Michigan/Texas? Unreal that people believe this s**t.
I'm sure there's tension between Harbs and Baalke--there's always tension between GMs and HCs. In fact, if there wasn't tension I would be worried.

I think we all realize things weren't accurately reported and that things are pretty much the same as its been. Only thing I know is Jim deserves a raise and unless a cluster**** comes about Jim will sign long term with a pay increaseOriginally posted by AmpLee:This.

good job york,, you deny it and now you fudge and say there was contact. the coverup is always more inept than the crime and this is a great example. why did he not just say it in the first place . I really thought when york took over we would not have the type of drama we had before he took over. If i were JH i would hit the road as it sounds like they do not want him. i still love this team but the things they do just make you wonder if they just go looking for trouble
he didn't cover up anything? florio's report stated the 2 sides were close to a deal, york said not true
i much prefer the way our org is going about this by not gossiping to the media about conversations w/ other teams
cleveland is a joke, haslam fueled a non-story and undermined the coach he JUST HIRED

I do NOT think this FO is blind to the obvious fact that we have REAL issues on offense and players are just not being utilized to their strengths, developed or utilized at all. If there is any "rift" it's probably with the idea that we could have had 2 or 3 Superbowls by now if we had ANY offense at all. Like us fans, we've now seem the exact same issues under 2 polar opposite QB's and surrounding personnel...it's the system that is the issue (i.e. the offensive philosophy).
I could not agree more because this post makes perfect sense.

No, you deserve a lot of s**t for failing at reading comprehension.
friday he said it was untrue,, now he admits there was talk. what did i miss? i know the job of many here is protect the niner organization and act like they are lilly white and always the victim but please,,,, the niners bungled this whole thing and now the perception is they do not want JH. just say on friday when the report came out that they did contact us and we said no.. what is sooo hard about that

He had to assume the browns owner was going to go with it. If he did this story is dead but instead he confirms the story and this fiasco grows legs.

How about this: let's review what the uber-credible Mike Florio "reported" in his first article on this subject:
"Per multiple league sources, the Cleveland Browns nearly pulled off a trade with the 49ers for the rights to coach Jim Harbaugh. A deal that would have sent multiple draft picks to San Francisco was in place between the teams. But Harbaugh ultimately decided not to leave the 49ers."
That is a direct quote from Florio's original article. Please note: "multiple league sources" "nearly pulled of a trade" "a deal that would have sent..."
This just confirms what I've been saying all along. Florio is a hack. La Canfora is a hack. It's a circle-jerk of hacks bs-ing their way through the work week.

it was started by the browns but the niners and the front office did themselves no favors in the way they have handled this in my opinion. Now we are facing alot of questions like does JH want to be here? is there a move to get rid of him? is there tension among the coach and front office. lovely distractions and as you said it is a fiasco which is the last thing you need
