Lots of allegations re: the owners not acting in good faith, and inserting new terms into the proposal, then when Eisen pressed him on specifics, he was absolutely clueless.

Exactly! So did the Bills player rep, whatever the hell his name was. I think they are making a huge deal out of nothing and are killing all of the 'progress' that had been made up to this point.
They keep getting stuck on the fact that the NFL gave a deadline for them to essential reply to the offer. Well, it wasn't so much that they are forcing them, but it is clear as water. If both sides are committed to playing football and not loosing any games (including pre-season) then the writing is on the wall. There is a drop dead date! Why is that so hard to understand??
D-Smith is a scumbag in my opinion and his arrogance and stupidity is the main reason for this mess. If he knew it was illegal to set a date and "force" a union to re-certify, then why not be a man and tell those guys while he was in the building instead of leaving the building only to shove the "we aren't going to be mandated by the NFL to sign anything quickly" card??
As to the players not knowing what deal was on the table?? Come on! They have been negotiating the damn thing for how long now?? WTH have the player reps been doing all of this time? If D-Smith and the player reps haven't gotten those details to the 1900 players it is their fault, NOT THE OWNERS! And if there truly are minimal details that were decided in the last day or two, then say that. Don't play that BS publicity stunt.
Pisses me the f-off that these "professionals" that are part of a billion dollar industry cant behave like what they are and get this done! Excitement level just dropped to 20- 30% BTW! F-these guys! I'm out!!!

Been watching NFLN and they interviewed 2 player reps. According to both of them...
1. They reviewed a deal and did not vote
2. Ownere changed the deal and voted yes
3. Deal is being "forced" on players
I don't like how neither player rep can give specifics about what the owners agreed upon that was different. Both sides are positioning for fan support.
Unfortunately for the players, the owners displayed a desire to get the deal done and now gets the support of the fans. If this ends up dragging on, it will be much worse than prior to the owners voting.
