no newton or mallet looks like
“(You try to understand) do they love football?” Harbaugh said. “Do they like to work at the game? How much do they understand the game? Will they be a fit for our team? Those are all critical evaluations.”
Cam Newton was one of the hardest working players at Auburn and wants to be great. This doesn't rule out Cam Newton in anyway.
Sure it does, don't kid yourself. Anyone cheating multiple times shows a huge red flag that they are unwilling to actually work for their achievement. Surely, you don't need someone to explain that to you, huh?
Did you take into account he was a 19 year old kid when that happened ? Surely you must realize he could have changed since then ? Surely he had to work to win a NC or did he cheat to win that ?
If the 49ers researched his background and found he was not the same kid he was when he cheated and stole the laptop, that he had grown and matured would that count for him or against him as a character concern ?
Tough thing to "research", no? You speak of his journey from 19 years of age as if there has been a long time of maturity along the way. He's only 21 now... oooh... he must have matured by now, huh?
He didn't "have to work" for his NC. He just had to play a large part in his gimmick offense. 1 read and go... Fake run, then throw into huge passing lanes. Run around on pizz-poor tackling college defenders. Wow.. amazing. Easy NFL transition? Are ya kidding me????
He very well could have. Considering he ended up at Blinn from Florida and was quickly on his way to having no future in football it is very possible that he realized he needed to make some major changes in his life and grow up quite a bit.
Every person/individual is different. Everyone grows and matures and different rates, so to write off any chance he hasn't changed quite a bit is wrong.
It's also not only wrong to assume he didn't have to work to win a NC at Blinn or at Auburn but it also shows a blatant disregard for anything he has accomplished on the football field.
