There has been online talk about the Packers putting a franchise tag on Flynn then trade him. It doesn't sound like a bad move to me.

True if there is no interest on Flynn. However with many teams needing a QB, it might work out very well. What it translates to is Flynn will have $14 million guaranteed contract. If Fitzpatrick can get more than that guaranteed, Flynn can get it. And the reward for taking on the low risk is for the Packers to get a second-round pick at minimum. Who knows they might get a top-10 pick with that kind of move.

How may times do rarely used back ups have a few good games and then get crowned the next elite QB? Flynn has throw the equivalent of 4 full games of passes in 4 years. Quite often back ups can have short term success because lack of film against NFL defenses hasn't allowed defensive coordinators adequate time to expose their weaknesses.

6 Tds and 500 yards passing, its gotta be all the receivers and system. Any scrub QB can look better than Joe Montana and Dan Marino combined.
