Kolb can b***h all he wants, but the Eagles have no reason to move him. They already gave him 10 mil, and hes only due 1.4 mil next year, and with Vick injured as often as he is, you need a decent caliber backup.

kolb shouldn't even be a consideration. He is overrated and isn't as great as some like to think he is. It would be a waste of a trade.
Please tell us why.
because it would be like trading away 2 1rst round picks to PHL to get Alex Smith back.
no way in hell I would trade anything more than a 3rd or 4th round pick for Kolb.

Actually I would deal with a 2nd or swap of firsts or whatever. I believe he'd be successful as a starter here. He started a lot of games in college, threw for over 3800 yards in his last season, and completed like 68% of his passes in that season. QBs who start many games, complete that many passes, and throw for that many yards are typically successful. He's also well versed in the WCO after playing under Reid, and while his success has been off and on so far in the league he's had some really good games. It could wind up being like a Matt Schaub type of situation.

Exactly. Asking for 2 first rounders ( which no one will give them) is their way of saying.."Kevin we tried to trade you but no one wanted you".

There's no way they get even one 1st rounder for Kolb after the concussion he suffered at the start of this season.

until the CBA is worked out he cant be traded. If its not done until after the draft then then the eagles would be getting draft picks for the 2012 draft, IF they trade him.
The Eagles dont have to trade him at all, even if he is gonna pout through the Media.
Vick takes way too many hits and is always getting hut. Kolb is cheap next year and would be insurance for the Eagles. I dont think the Eagles asking price is gonna come down

They would just work out a deal with whatever team and have that team pick the player they want and visa versa. When the CBA is in place, they would do the deal.

When the game was on the line against a legit team, Kolb did no better than Smith.

Kolb wants to start or wants out

Kolb wants to start and whether that’s for the Eagles or not, he will let coach Andy Reid know that during a scheduled Monday meeting. The 26-year-old has been the Eagles' backup for most of four seasons.

We'd be the best/most likely landing spot for Kolb since Reid will only trade Kevin out to a team running a WCO (Reid is a genuine dude, really loves his players, and won't trade them to a place in which they cannot succeed).
If you go back and watch tape on the 49ers/Philly game, the way Kolb executed play-action stunts/bootlegs/roll-outs/scrambles, it was almost adjacent to what Andrew Luck did (in 2010) out of Harbaugh's WCO; Kolb would be a great fit for us (but not at Philly's current asking price, of course).
