Ah, so Vegas also sets the 'teaser' odds?

-9fA
Pittsburgh Steelers -3 OVER Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals +9 OVER Green Bay Packers
Atlanta Falcons -6 OVER Carolina Panthers
Edit: Ravens +3.5 OVER Chargers

I'm especially liking the Steelers line.

So to speak, yes. They set the odds, and we can tease them. On Bodog, you can click another 1/2point, full point, or a point & a half, also. Each time the payout odds drop significantly.

I was 12-4 last week, because I overrated the Texans offense, I overrated the Bengals (because I watched Hard Knocks), and I underrated the Bills and the Raiders. Let's see if I can improve on that. This weeks lines are much harder lol.

crzy's picks Week 2

Sunday
Carolina +6.5 @ ATLANTA
DETROIT +10.0 vs Minnesota
GREEN BAY -9.0 vs Cincinnati
Houston +6.5 @ TENNESSEE
Oakland +3.0 @ KANSAS CITY
New England -3.5 @ NEW YORK JETS
New Orleans PK @ PHILADELPHIA
WASHINGTON -10.0 vs ST.LOUIS
Arizona +3.0 @ JACKSONVILLE
BUFFALO -5.0 vs Tampa Bay
SAN FRANCISCO -1.5 vs Seattle
Pittsburgh -3.0 @ CHICAGO
DENVER -3.0 vs Cleveland
Baltimore +3.0 @ SAN DIEGO
New York Giants +3.0 @ DALLAS

Monday
Indianapolis -3.0 @ MIAMI

I picked 8 favorites and 7 underdogs, and 10 road teams and 6 home teams, yikes.

Did you put $ down on last week's game? If so, do you use a bookie or online?

So you picked Carolina to cover the spread, or win (moneyline)... I hope not to win, that was Atlanta winning at -260 was my favorite moneyline of the week...

I think Carolina makes it close, but the Falcons win.

Panthers were 12-4 last year, people forget. I don't think Jake the fake can have ANOTHER game like his last two.

They're gonna get their running game going with Double Trouble and it's going to be a good game.

After the Pats didn't cover the spread against the Bills, I am uncertain whether they can cover the spread and/or defeat the Jets. Jets are a better team then the Bills. And I didn't realize 'Zona is the underdog against the Jags. 'Zona is still a very good team on both side of the ball. And I think Minnesota may cover the spread against Detroit. Detroit scored against the Saint's D which is never very good. Minnesota as a better D though not as prolific an offense as Saints of course but they have AP against a poor Det D.

I just think that the Jets bulletin board comments will motivate the Patriots.

Tom Brady will light up the Jets. Belichek will figure out a way to shut down the rookie Sanchez.

Quote:
Looking at the game statistics of 20 quarterbacks from their initial meeting against the Belichick and the Pats is not pretty: passers average a 55.85 completion percentage, a pedestrian 221 yards, and are slightly more likely to thrown an interception (30) than touchdown (27).

Amazingly, in 18 of those games, New England was the winning side.

The numbers get even worse for rookies, which, for all the hoopla and hope his arrival has brought to New York Jets fans, Sanchez very much is.

Seven rookies have come before the Belichick Patriots before, two who had forgettable careers (Chris Weinke, Joey Harrington), few who are still kicking around (Byron Leftwich, Vince Young, Luke McCown), and a pair who are franchise players (Ben Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer).

In those seven games, those quarterbacks have completed exactly half of their pass attempts, and thrown nearly twice as many picks as touchdowns (13 interceptions to 7touchdowns).

And only one has come away with a win: Roethlisberger, on Oct. 31, 2004, the Halloween horror in Pittsburgh that ended New England's 21-game win streak.

Added on Niners -1 and Saints -3 over Eagles early this morning.

3-1. Not a bad score for the day.

Leaning towards Colts -3 at Miami for MNF. and leaning a little less towards the over for that game.
