When you have Drew Brees it's easy to make a defense look pedestrian.
Not saying the Raiders defense is great, just pointing out who they were playing against.

Good point / point taken, albeit, this is a much older Brees with a new cast of weapons in contrast to the days of Colston / Graham, etc.....

What's concerning is that Oak thinks they have improved on defense, but they pretty much got smoked in all quarters
Um. Yup. Defense was what they were supposed to rest their hat on. Their offense isnt going to put up 30+ a game and in that division. Anomaly not the norm.

That's the truth, no doubt.

If they don't convert that people would be calling for his head right now

For once, I had a good thought...our head coach would do it.

Nah, if they don't convert, then it's a tie game with 47 seconds left going up against Drew Breese who only needs about 45 yards to go for a long FG.

with Extra Points moved back, some will consider going for 2 and the win vs. the tie and overtime. Have not seen that much though.

I saw Pittsburgh going for two a lot last season.
In my mind it makes more sense to try for two now than kick an extra point at a field goal's distance, but I'm not a coach so what do I know.
That being said I've had immense respect for Jack Del Rio dating back to his days as the Jaguars HC. Maybe he isn't a genius (maybe he is I don't know), but he gets the job done and prepares his teams to represent themselves well on game day. I'd say he's best coach the Raiders have had since Gruden.
