How about NEITHER Alex Smith or Shaun Hill. This thread is like a Stockholm Syndrome Convention.

Shaun remains one of the two franchise QBs of this proud team.

Alex Smith story has a sad ending. Get Shaun back in there to salvage whatever is left of the season. We look for another QB in the offseason because our season ends in December again. Sorry Jed.

Wow an ending after 1 bad game?
You must have been calling for Shaun's head after the ATL game...

No I didn't mind the shakeup. Sometimes players need to benched. Alex is turnover machine. This is not Alex's first game.

So lets just change QBs every other game..?
Right, great idea.

Show this image to 100 random people and how many do you think are going to identify that?
Thats kind of important when someone is going to make an assumption about someone else.
I certainly am not going to ASSUME the poster knew that.
So if you're not sure something is real or not, then you should assume it's false and laugh at it?
Or would it be more prudent to just be sensitive to the possibility that it's the real deal?
or...you could just stop being so sensitive to begin with. people die every day. Hell I had someone die today. It happens it is part of the life cycle.
Did you find it funny??
It's not about being so sensitive it's about valuing not only your own life but others as well
The problem with today's society many people don't care about others and too many die everyday
Obviously the poster who put the pic on the thread and the one who laughed don't
pathetic
Hey... what's going on here? What happened to all the Shaun Hill is great posts? I guess I must have dropped in on the wrong thread..
But, but...Hill is a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Echos around the room.
Oh wait, the team is 3-3. Nevermind, he isn't.
That's what happened. Everyone kept saying, "Well, we're winning," or, "Well, he's had one bad game." Now they realize that:
A) We aren't winning. In fact, most likely, after this Sunday we'll be losing.
B) Smith is far more talented.
Hence, everyone jumped ship.
You guys better pray Smith doesn't bring out his rookie year in him with all the smack talk you guys are bringing.
Here's to Smith guiding us to the playoffs!!!!
............he better not fugg up.
The thing is, even if he does play poorly, it can't possibly be much worse than what Shaun Hill was able to muster up, so what do you have to lose?
I find it really hard to believe that Smith isn't going to be able to match Hill's 150 yards per game, or whatever it was through 5.5 games.
All he has to do is watch the turnovers.
but seriously....I only laughing because I'm in denial, I can't get pissed anymore...it is just funny sad right now....f'n pathetic.

Yes. Like any other team, you have your players learn from their mistakes and try to play better next week. Alex was NEVER known for being a reckless QB that forces throws. Our BIGGEST gripe with him was being overly cautious and not "letting it rip," etc etc. Now he's doing that and he's making mistakes. Its going to happen.
Alex needs to settle down, find the balance and learn to finish out games. He cant force things like he did today. I dont know if he was just trying to look like a bad a## in front of the home crowd or what but he played a little irresponsible. Coach Johnson and Raye need to really break down the film with Smith and just try to turn every negative into a positive. Alex needs to be surgical the way he was in the 2nd half of the Houston game.
Now if he's throwing 2 or 3 picks the next couple games then yes, you may want to bench him. But at that point, the coach is basically saying, "we give up, seaons over, don't try hard." I'd hate to see a guy like Vernon Davis or some of our other players that are developing well just shut it down.
And we need to figure out the best situation for the o-line. I dont care who is throwing the ball...Smith, Hill, Davis, Manning, Brady, or Brees...nothing good will happen when the pocket collapses in less than 1.5 seconds.

I thought the Online did fine today....All of Alex's INTs is when he had time to stare down his receivers and throw the ball......
I'd like to give Shaun another chance (with this type of playcalling from today) before we decide to just give up on our season......instead of just ride or die with Alex.
