Unfortunately, Denzel Mims is not a defensive back, and the 5-yard cushion of contact is for DBs only.

He's could go much earlier than expected if someone falls in love with him.

Honestly think he's at the top of Kyle's wish list. He brings an element that we don't have now. He runs routes with Hopkins-level physicality and 4.3 speed.

I'm sure he'll be there. One thing we do as fans is over project too many players every year.

I'm not surprised to hear the 49ers have serious interest in Dims. He checks their boxes as a prospect and is a great fit opposite Deebo. Quite literally the only knocks for him I have are that he's a little stiff and way too handsy. But it's a great trait that he's naturally violent with his hands. It's better to need to be told to do less than to do more. He just needs to be a little more inconspicuous with his hands.

He loves to run block too.. I could see Kyle being in love with this guy

You think he'll be there at #31? It's not just fans over projecting, almost all mocks have him going before then. Every year when a WR kills the combine, he gets drafted higher than projected and Mims killed the combine, Senior Bowl, shoot the entire offseason. Well I hope you're right and we get him at 31 if we pass on the 3 at 13

I've been a fan of Mims for a while. Personally I don't think he's a 1st rd player though. One of the best things about him was his value. I knew he was gonna crush the combine and I think that's a main reason he's looked at as a 1st rd pick.

He's crushed the pre draft stuff...don't think his film fully backups his combine numbers though.

Its hard to say if he will or wont be there at #31 if we pass on a WR at #13 . Way to many variables to try and guess. If we do not end up drafting a WR at #13 , I would be Very happy with the selection Mims at #31.
