My second best WR in this draft behind Jeudy. Brings size, strength, and speed that would be made into a star under Shanahan.

Do you think it is possible to move down from 13 to 16 get a 2nd or a third and still get a quality pick and still get Mims? Would you trade out of Jerry Jeudy to get Mims and another player or two?

Yes. If Mims was the desired target, we could move back a handful of spots and at least get a third. To get a second we would have to move back further. Maybe to 25, while also getting the 58th.

Good question, I love Mims as much as anyone but at 13 if Jeudy is there I think the niners have to take him, if not I wouldn't mind trading down to about 21 and take Mims bc I think the eagles might take him, then at 31 take the C from Michigan Cesar Ruiz. IMO that would be ideal

Josh Gordon is almost 20 lbs heavier than Mims.

Just don't know what's not to love about the possible fit Mims can be for our team. This is a 6'3" over 200lb athletic freak that has 4.3 speed. He's also arguably the best blocking WR in the draft that's of this caliber. He can give us something on the outside we simply don't have. He has a huge catch radius and can grab high and low passes from slightly off target throws from the QB(that's huge for us). Yes Klye can scheme players open but how about adding a guy to the team that can help his QB the most. Even when Mims is covered he can still be a target to bail out Jimmy because Mims can go up, down, or through the defender to grab the ball. That will help cut down on interceptions.
If we have Kittle, Samuel, and Mims on the field at the same time that would have to be the most physical trio of pass catchers on any team in the league. Talking about a nightmare for defenses, scary.

Watching Mims , and then looking at his weight
He plays like he is 210-215

Mims has the frame to add some more weight for sure but Gordon was entirely on a whole other level. If he had his head straight on, he would easily have been a Top 10 pick.
That said, Mims is a reasonably decent generic version. Strong hands, tremendous catching radius, can eat up real estate on the field fast with a sudden burst of acceleration that leaves CBs flailing. Ability to attack the football in the air and win consistently.
I'm sure Shanahan has had some flashbacks to Gordon while watching his film.

Mims is so physical. Gonna draw his fair share of offensive PI calls but I love the physicality.

That's my biggest concern with him. Can he consistently separate without pushing off? I like that he's violent with his movements, but he's way too handsy. No joke, there's OPI on nearly every rep here. Some of the pushoffs are egregious.
lol what the f**k is this s**t? This is exactly how NOT to win as a receiver in the NFC West where the cornerbacks are as big or bigger than he is.

I wouldn't go that far. On some of those early pushoffs, its not often that refs will call that as usually there's a lot of joustling that goes on between DB and WR. Its those full on arm bars down the field that are clear as day that will get him into trouble in the NFL. He will have to learn to be a lot more subtle with those.

I think his style isn't great for the NFC West. The cornerbacks in this division are as big if not bigger than he is. Mixing it up with them is playing right into their hands.

I feel you on this. He definitely has to get more subtle with this stuff and needs to separate with routes more than pushing off. That clip of him shoving the corner reminds me of anquan boldin as a niner 😂

The stuff at the line I'm ok with, that is hand fighting. The straight arm will get him in trouble. If they like him and want to take him later in draft Ok. At 13 I would be a little upset, because I think there will be better talent at different position available at pick 13.
