I'm hoping CJ Henderson falls to us.

Nick Harris C/OG Washington or Netane Muti OG Fresno State would make me very happy with either a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
Muti is very interesting. I'll be keeping an eye on him throughout the draft season.

We don't have a 2nd or a 3rd round pick at this point.

Lloyd Cushenberry and Cesar Ruiz would also be good interior fits after a trade back.

I'm thinking the Niners will trade their late first round pick for a 2nd and a 3rd round pick to either Tampa Bay or Denver who have those picks. Don't think that there is anyone that will be available at the last part of the first that is worth the Niners standing pat.

1. WR - gotta groom and have another young receiver next to Deebo before Sanders' time is up.
2. Safety - No guarantees Ward re-signs with SF and they need more of a ballhawk back there with Tartt.
3. Edge - would be nice to add another DE to come in on situational downs. Hopefully more speed.

I personally would switch safety with cornerback, Ward is really good when he is healthy and they'll probably bring him back. They should spend a pick on a cornerback to add competition.

I would put Edge first. The difference between the team with Ford and without Ford was pronounced.

Only reason I didn't list CB because I think Eman Mosley will lockdown the other side. And if Mosley does play solid like I think he will next Sunday then I wouldn't put CB anywhere in the top 5 of needs. And even though Ward has played good, he's no game changer, if this defense is gonna get better it needs a game changing Safety. Much props to Ward for giving it all he's got, but this defense needs more. And if Ward commands more than $5 mil a season then I'd pass and look towards the draft.

Only reason I didn't list Edge first because I think the team will definitely re-sign Ronald Blair and maybe even Damontre Moore. People also tend to forget that DJ Jones, who consistently disrupted the pocket as also a big loss and big part of the pass rush, it was basically Armstead, Bosa and DJ tearing it up vs. GB week 12. After DJ went down for the season there was a huge drop in run defense and pass rush.

I see a FA and a high draft pick at this position. I see this draft being heavy in need. I respect Todd McShay, but taking a RB with our first pick would be most bone-headed, especially given that we don't have another pick until the 5th round. I see us trading back to pick up some picks (I also see a sign 7 trade as a strong possibility, namely with AA). In any event, I see a WR as our top pick.Originally posted by OnTheClock:We have to trade down honestly. We don't have enough draft capital to add the kind of talent a contending team should be looking for. This is what I look at when looking for keys on who we should target: I'd first look at which starting group struggled the most, and then I'd look at which depth was the poorest quality. SS and LB are the two areas of lowest quality depth on the team. DT isn't as bad but it's possible for an upgrade there too. DE wasn't initially, but it is now that all our depth suffered season-ending injuries. Our starting group at WR and interior OL struggled at times, and then our PR/KR game lacks explosiveness.
So, all that said, I see these as the top needs, in order:
1. Receiver - Even if Sanders returns, this is not a long-term investment. Ideally a real burner who can also return kicks.
2. Center - I think Brunskill will win the RG position. Eventually, him continuing to shine has to be recognized. We need a true center of the future though in case Richburg can't return to form.
3. LB - Our current depth is practice squad level at best.
4. SS - Same as above.
5. TE - We need someone who catch as well as they can maul guys on the LOS. Don't have anyone like that after Kittle.
6. DE - Preferably a speed rusher. A pass rush specialist who can help close out games.
Cosign with both of you

I agree. You can never have enough pass rushers.

If a team towards the top of the 2nd is wanting to move up to get a 5th year option and is willing to give up a 2021 1st and a 3rd or 4th this year I'd do it. If no 2021 1st then this year's 2nd and 3rd. Then maybe move down another 5-10 spots in the 2nd for another 3rd or 4th or another 2nd in 2021.
Unless the value is just too good at 32 to pass up.
