Lots of mocks have the niners taking a RB in the 1st, I mean if a guy like Swift fell I'm ok with it but unsure about others, McShay has us taking Dobbins.

Good point. Shannahan has historically signed veteran centers. I wouldn't mind seeing an OG/OT type prospect.
Obviously FA will impact what we do, but FA looks pretty weak at center right now. I'd rather draft a C this year. I agree about edge rusher and possibly swing tackle.
I'm on the "trade down" bandwagon for now just because I think some of the holes we have are positions where it's realistic to find starters in the 2nd and 3rd.

I think it is replenish the OL for competition and LB and the secondary.
Much rather see veterans on the O-line than a rookie. There should be some affordable O-line help in March, the market is gonna be stacked with Guards!!!
49ers need to strengthen their secondary and get that game changing Safety!!!
Interesting take. Maybe they can get a developmental OC in the 5th.
Are there any day 3 OC prospects that are worth considering?
I like Jake Hansen from Oregon and Nick Harris from Washington. Pending Combine results, Hansen could go into the 2nd round. Nick Harris SHOULD be there in the 5th to later rounds. IMO

Gotta draft another quality edge. They change everything.
Blair is an unknown and Ford can't stay healthy.
Get Bosa his running mate.

I think if the 9ers have a shot at Xavier McKinney, he should be thee pick, if not trade down!!!

I hate to say this, but the Niners may need to look at the RB position at some point in this draft. McKinnon may not ever make it back and Breida has been struggling the last quarter of the season, especially with holding onto the ball. I know that the Niners have had success with UDFA, but maybe a late round pick may be in order.

I have full faith in Shanahan to continue finding backs to plug and play in this offense. Its not a scheme that really needs one dominant back but if they could get a physical monster that can wear down defenses late, I would not complain.

Can never have too many RBs. Our group has been more than solid though. I'd be cool with a 4th or 5th round guy. Not sure how this class looks yet. Our first pick has to be good, we need a solid player to help us out an expensive position to relieve the cap a bit. Especially since we don't have a second or third rounder.

Trey seems like the most logical move unless there's a guy we absolutely can't pass up.

I don't know how early they would considering going RB in the draft but a physical mid-round back that would work seamlessly in this outside zone scheme is Ke'Shawn Vaughn of Vanderbilt.

I'm all for trading down enough that they can walk out with a solid edge prospect, a true deep threat WR, backup safety, developmental center prospect and more competition at RB and CB.

I'm taking the current draft order and position w/no trade speculation. Unlike some others I like our depth and talent at: QB, RB, WR, TE, DL, and DB. We could use help at IOL for now, and some depth picks with eyes towards future. Ironically most of our starters/stars came in later rounds or weren't even drafted, so I don't de-value these picks. Furthermore, I think we resign/extend whomever we want as we have $$$$, and some of these guys are coming off injuries (Blair, Taylor, Breida, etc.) whereas nobody is gonna offer huge amounts of money to swipe them, or we can tender them high and re-coup picks. We can cut Mc. Kinnon and use dat $$$ to extend players, and Jeff Wilson can be a part of our deep RB rotation. And players coming back from injury at: WR,CB, and DL alleviates picking there for RIGHT NOW/2020. That said, here's my draft.
1st. IOL- Tyler Blandasz, Wisconsin, Creed Humphrey Oklahoma, or Solomon Kindley Georgia.
5th. LB- Krys Barns UCLA, David Woodward Utah St., or Evan Weaver Cal
5th. DB- Marcelino Ball Indiana U., Jalen Elliot Notre Dame, or Julian Blackmon Univ.Utah
6th. TE- Adam Troutman Dayton or Matt Wilkerson. Edward Walters College. Harrison Bryant, 6'5, 240lbs TE, Florida Atlantic
7th. OT- Ben Bartch St. John's MN. or Alex Taylor South Carolina
7th. WR- Aaron Parker Rhode Island, Nick Westbrook Indiana U., or J. Hill from Mt. Union.
PS- *** Please spare me the; "he wont be there by then talk, as we see EVERY YEAR lots of players fall off 'our" boards and right where the NFL draftnicks usually pick them. Also, we can never ever forget how someone over drafts someone and throws the boards off ! Lastly, how many people had Metcalf as a top 5 pick ?? and had us as no chance to get him?-Hmmm., looks like he fell to 2nd rd., and maybe to 3rd. had Seattle not missed out on Deebo or AJ Brown. ***
