God no. Don't we have enough of these small, slot WR's on our roster already? We don't need another slot WR. His skill-set is already well represent on this roster. We need a bigger, physical outside WR who can get themselves in tight spaces and be a redzone threat. Those deficiencies in our WR corp was painfully obvious this season.

I'll pass.

Can never have too many fast, elusive receivers beating DBs off the snap. Speed kills.

Indeed you can have too much of the same thing, and not enough of others. We already have at least four smallish guys on the roster who are " . . . fast, elusive receivers beating DBs off the snap. . ." But problem is that not one is a redzone threat, and all have issues getting themselves open when physical CB's get their hands on them. One of the banes of the WR corp in 2018, with all their speed, is the inability of our WR's to just get open. It has been extremely frustrating to watch. Sure, Shanny does a good job at scheming guys open. But injuries aren't the full story for the woes of our WR corps. Shanny can scheme until his finger fall off, but the scheme means nothing if the WR cannot force himself into his routes, be where he's supposed to be, and body himself into a catch. Our problem is that we have enough - way too many guys - on or roster who are too small and light with a lacking in physicality, and it showed all season, especially in the redzone.

I'm sorry, but enough is enough with these small, speedy guys. While we've seen their benefits we have seem their limitations as well.

You don't need to be a giant to be a redzone threat. We saw that with Pettis and his ability to get open against pretty much anyone. If you can upgrade the slot with someone who has similar ability, that makes this offense that much scarier.

This offense can still get A LOT faster. We saw with KC and Hill just how lethal superior speed can be. I think this offense needs more speed, guys that consistently get open, big or small, if you have homerun threats all over the offense it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on defenses.

I see where this is going, some 5'1", 130 pound track star that runs between people's legs.

Another trent taylor? No thx
Would make sense if we didn't have Taylor and James already
We have bigger needs
I had no idea this dude was that damn fast. I guess he never flexed his wheels the times I saw him. He'll 100% be on Kyle's radar, especially given how unreliable Marquise Goodwin has become. Kyle loves to have a 4.2/3 blazer on the outside (ie Taylor Gabriel/Marquise Goodwin). Not just to stretch the field, but to keep the backside of defense's off-balance with ghost and jet motions.

Welcome to the 49ers!
He's a different type of receiver than what we have now.

Goodwin is an average WR, with outstanding speed, and average quickness. He doesn't offer much with the ball in his hands. He lacks the explosion you'd like to see from a guy with his speed. Plus he's a concussion factory.

Taylor is the opposite. He's very quick, but not terribly fast.

Isabela has shown that he is an above average WR, with elite speed and quickness, and he is deadly in the open field. He compares more closely to Taylor Gabriel, only with better hands and more polished as a route runner.

Kyle made Goodwin, Taylor and Gabriel look very good. He could make Isabela a star. Lining him up opposite Pettis is going to frustrate secondaries. Give Jimmy a little time and there's no way for defenses to cover these guys, especially with Kittle working the middle and Brieda/McKinnon coming out of the backfield.

This guy is exactly what Kyle needs. Forget about the big body guys. This guy instantly separates. He's too quick to cover and uniquely, he can take it to the house when he catches it.
