Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama

NT: QWill
3T: Solo
Big End: Buckner
LEO: Ford, Clowney, Ray, Ansah, Lawrence, etc. (not limited on options if we actually use our cap space)

My exact feeling although I'd keep Buckner at 3T. You have two dominant interior guys wreaking havoc. The QB has no pocket to step up into consistently. You add a couple speed rushers to chase them down. That doesn't require Von Miller to work effectively. Bring Fowler, add another edge rusher with an early pick. The defense just got a hell of a lot scarier, versus run or pass.

We all assume that the Cards will take Nick Bosa but maybe I´m naive but he is not Myles Garrett.
Garrett is a truely once in a lifetime generational talent. I don´t see that in Bosa to be honest.
Arizona needs protection for Rosen and needs someone in the middle of the Defensive Line more than Bosa.
They have already Chandler Jones who is probably one of the top 5 edge rushers in the league. A true demon.
But everyone runs on them. Their run defense is the worst in the league.

Quinnen Williams is not the new Aaron Donald.
But, if they don´t want him, so be it. I´m old enough to remember the time when BY and Stubblefield were destroying everyone in the middle of the line.
Don't know anything about this guy but reading this thread is hyping me up lol

Aaron Donald is a freak of nature. I have no idea how that guy fell so far in the draft and he's only gotten better. What he's done this year is insane.

That was being doubled more than any other DLman in the game and after starting out slow due to his holdout. The man is a machine. It will be hard to find the next Aaron Donald.

Doesn't mean that Williams has to be Aaron Donald to be a monster inside.

Would you care to elaborate?
If Williams is the consensus next Aaron Donald or Warren Sapp, than we don't have to worry about drafting him, because he shouldn't be available at two!

How can a team with whose only strength is DT have to take him at 2, when a team whose weakness is DT would pass on him the pick before?

PS. Joey Bosa only had an above average sparq score. I don't think Nick will wow anybody at the combine.

Well, that knocks both of my choices on the head! Assuming no one is interested in throwing picks at us, who do you like?

Because the other elite prospect in the draft is a dominant edge rusher and considered by some to be a better overall pass rusher than his brother.

You really can't go wrong with either guy though obviously for the 49ers, Bosa would be the player of higher need.

Nobody is expecting to be wowed. Both Bosa and Williams are top prospects not due to their athleticism as much as their advanced technique and fundamentals. They are winning the way linemen in the NFL need to be able to win and are far more advanced than most DLs coming out of college.

You guys do realize who our DC is right?

Yes we do, that's why we're talking about facilitating his DL. He's not my first choice but it is what it is. Shanny's has made is pretty clear that he'll be back next season.

So don't bother to acquire any talent then? If Saleh stays, he stays, hope he can do more with more actual talent.
Nevermind, sus and the PL crew don't want Williams, so we shouldn't draft him

Ok dream scenario time. Williams kills the entire Clemson offense, sets record combine numbers for DL, Chucky loves him so much that he trades us his 4 and two first rounders from cowgirls and bears, niners pick Josh Allen or Greedy Williams if Jets take Allen. With c-girls and bear's picks, use your imagination.

Why get greedy?

That scenario could actually work by taking one of the Cowboys or Bears pick plus later round capital. Swap of 1sts plus DAL or CHI 1st, a 2nd next year and a 4 and 6 this year.

I love Greedy. I think he has the potential to be another Pat Peterson. As far as value goes at #4, I don't think any other ERs not named Bosa or Allen are worth the 4th selection. Now back to the thread, if cards take Bosa, Lynch and Shanny Should not even flinch to take Quinnen Williams.
John Lynch talking right now about how he's encouraged how Arik Armstead and Solomon Thomas fit inside going into next season...

Today is the beginning of a long stretch until draft day where I put little to no stock in what any GM says.
