Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama

Quinnen is a monster. Seeing him mess up Oklahoma solid line made me a favorite after bosa.

You put this guy next to buck and nothing changes from a pass rushing perspective. They will shove up the middle and qbs will just roll out because the edge won't be there to collapse the pocket. You have to be able to encircle the qb or they can step up if it's from the edge or roll out if it's up the middle.

This.

If the FO signs 1-2 ER in FA then Williams pick looks even better

Probably a lock to sign Ansah.

Would imagine they'd pay Ford record money if he hits FA.

And they'd still take a pass rusher in the 2nd.

Well, then you don't need elite edge rushers since the QB will be...you know...coming to them.

This would be sooo disappointing. Ansah had more inactive games than sacks this season.

Nah. Williams can get home. He's not just a pocket pusher like other DTs.

I want nothing to do with Ziggy. Our team already has a poor track record when it comes to injuries and Ansah is one of the most injury prone star player in the league.

Now if he were to sign a one year prove it deal, then maybe, if we can't get someone better and more reliable.

Lynch will sign a name to appease the base and play him up as a top notch rusher.

I would imagine that is all he would get. Will be Alshon Jeffery-like
I could live with that, but teams are desperate for edge rushers. I could see Jon Gruden giving him a big deal.

He's also 47, there's that too.

Lynch cannot go this offseason without signing one of the top 2 available pass rushers....no matter who makes it through the franchise tag.

How could he possibly spin not getting one of the top pass rush UFAs?

Ansah just seems like an easy way to cool the fanbase down.

I'm with you. I think most analysts view him as an all around threat. I understand why some would be hesitant with another DT in the first, but Armstead and Thomas are nothing in comparison to QW as a draft prospect. I think he upgrades any teams pass rush, which is our main issue.

This draft is loaded with edge defenders and we will have an early 2nd round pick. If we end up with Quinnen Williams and then get someone who can rush off the edge in the 2nd, I don't think people will be too upset with DT in the first.

We have holes to fill, but Tarvarius Moore looks like he has potential to push Witherspoon. DJ Reed seems like a good fit for Nickel Corner. I like the Earl Thomas idea, so Free Agency can fill a few holes.

I am in on BPA and Quinnen Williams may be the best in the draft.

Not to mention we could trade a future pick and our second for Burns or Polite.

Imagine Graham Buckner Williams Burns.
