Jachai Polite's 5.04 official 40 at pro day with slow 3-cone, poor broad jump and low bench press or going to likely drop him even more. Rare to get slower at the Pro Day than combine.

Polite has all the ability in the world to succeed at the next level. Those workout numbers may hurt his stock, but they won't mean anything if he can come in and perform like he did on tape.

Plenty of guys who had terrible workouts and did fine in the NFL. Calais Campbell (16 reps on the bench), Clark Haggans (nearly 5.0 40-time), Pernell McPhee (4.91 forty), just to name a few and I know there's many more.

NFL Pick 'em

POLITE - in the 1st round is the idea I don't like.. I didn't even look at his work out because I don't believe on those #s at all. I just personally think that he's overrated, and not worth to be drafted in the FIRST ROUND.

Calais - great workout #s or not, the guy became solid towards the middle of his career. He wasn't drafted in the 1st round neither.. so what money he's gotten, he deserved it.. Heck, I'll be more than happy if Aweak ArmHurts can become the next Calais...

tape is everything.

workouts are how we got tricked and conned into picking Solomon thomas.

That being said, Polite didn't look that great against what I would consider NFL tackles. I have a 2nd round grade on him.
