Perfect match. They love guys with s**t attitudes.
"Per a league source, Polite was fined more than $100,000 for tardiness and other issues regarding doing things he shouldn't have done or not doing things he should have been doing.
It's not that Polite can't afford to pay the fines. As the fourth pick in round three, he received a $1.122 million signing bonus from the Jets."
Dude gave away nearly 10 percent of his money because he can't make it to practice on time lmao. This is a guy that should've been a first round pick, early second at worst. Must not be a big fan of money.

Wasn't his tweeter tag retiremoms? Or was that someone else...certainly going out of his way to fail on that goal.
Still super talented but talk about a horror show of an offseason. There were many including myself talking about him as a mid first round pick. Dude just crapped all over his draft stock and then didn't use the late pick as motivation to prove everyone wrong. When a team cuts a 3rd rounder the same year that's really bad. Not like the Jets were a SB team overflowing with talent.

Wtf.....Polite is making Foster look like a Rhodes scholar. At least Foster got the football portion right (rookie year).

The Seahawks have released Jachai Polite from their practice squad. From a third round pick of the Jets in April to cut, unclaimed on waivers and then cut again from a practice squad.

First round ability couldn't even stay on the effin practice squad.

The ability wasn't his problem. Remember he was perceived to be one until the Combine. The story about him saying all the 49ers did was criticize him was the beginning of the end. Still got drafted in the 3rd, which is a safe spot for people with first round talent, but red flags. But you saw the issues he had with the Jets. Over $100,000 in fines just for being late? Seriously? Who knows what he did in Seattle. Just goes to show talent isn't enough.

You can have first round ability on the field and be an idiot off of it. The two are not mutually exclusive. Polite has plenty of talent but appears to lack the necessary intelligence, common sense and work ethic to play at the NFL level.
