There goes jcs, making stuff up, again.
If we're drafting a S I'm going hooker...you gotta get INTs if your getting drafted that high and that's what he can do. Adams is a great leader and tackler but I'm not seeing the INTs.
At this pt I hope we trade down
Probably depends on how torn it was...
Adams' feet in drills looked damn good to me. I think he can play FS as well. Could easily be wrong doe. Oh maddog, hero lol.

A good safe pick most likely.

This is the guy I want. The leadership he brings to any secondary is invaluable. I dont mind the fact he didn't have tons of ints, you can see the speed he plays with is ideal for center field free safety. Not to mention the 49ers could desperately use the savage run support he brings to the table.
I like Hooker, but he isnt a leader of men. Hes a unique talent however I definitely question his resolve and love for the game. That being said, if John Lynch decides Hooker is the better choice then ill take his word for it. Id be happy with either but hope Adams is the pick. Take Jarrad Davis in the 2nd and boom defense fixed, Ray Lewis Ed reed like duo for years to come. Derek Rivers in the 3rd would be icing on the cake.

If you're going to take a safety at the top of the draft, he better have some uncommonly elite traits.
I don't see that anywhere with Adams on tape.

Elite speed, elite tackling, elite running support, most experts agree the man is an elite safety.

ran a 4.56 at the combine...hardly elite speed. more like very mediocre speed. elite tackling? you're not drafting someone 2nd overall for their ability to tackle. you can find guys with "elite tackling" later in the draft.
those traits do not merit consideration at 2.
the only reason hooker is in the discussion is because of his penchant for creating turn overs by virtue of elite range and instincts, both of which are very rare to find in one player.

You need to do a little more research on Adams, he ran 4.33 at his pro day. Last I checked he is still very much in the conversation at #2
I have to question your football acumen if you don't understand the value of tackling at the safety position. You can't find a player like Adams later in this draft period.

He said you can find a "tackler" later in the draft.

Other people timing it said it was more like 4.55. Adams is a great prospect and I wouldnt be upset one bit if he was the pick but I dont see him having the same potential as Hooker to be a transformative player.

Oh man, I sure got told.
elite tackler and 4.33 pro day 40. We must draft him now.
Who was holding the stopwatch at the LSU pro day? his mom?

Be nice lol.
I'll tell you what, at the end of the day I think this is gonna be a baller. Watch him slide to the Ravens and bring some nasty to their back end. Great tandem with Weddle. They'll take a pass rusher/SAM in their second and watch them go again.

I would say (I hope this makes sense lol) Adams is better than Hooker as of today and has a higher floor than Hooker, but Hooker has a way higher ceiling.
