Solomon Thomas--Stanford

If Thomas is the best guy available, you draft him and if he turns out to be as good as advertised, nobody will care one iota who was drafted before him.

I see a nt, a de, and an under tackle there. All 3 still touch the field all 3 areas addressed. With Thomas you're drafting him to replace AA and edge rush , throw nt in there too aren't being touched. So we still have a sh load of work to do the line AFTER spending 3 1sts on it. See you next year when we have to draft a de in the 1st again.

What?? Are you for real?

Is not having any receivers cost us at least 1, maybe 2 Super Bowls.

Eli is only 23 yrs old, was very raw coming out of Virginia, pass rushers normally don't come into the NFL and go crazy unless your a rare breed..I think give the kid more time..look at the pass rushing free agents this yr, Ingram didn't do much his 1st yr then got hurt his 2nd I think, Perry was considered a bust until last yr..

Buckner --- Thomas --- Armstead --- Lynch/Draft Pick

Harold --- Bowman --- Smith

Book it.

Thomas transforms the NT/1T position, Eli makes the transition from RDE to SAM like Irvin.

That's going to be one hell of a conversation with Kyle (wants offense) and Lynch/Saleh (want defense). Just look at our conversations!

PS: I still want Mike...want a full unit to be complete by year 1.

The game has changed but the passing game needs an elite QB. WRs don't make QBs and any team who tries to build their offense based on WR improving the QB will fail. Look at the Jets with Fitzpatrick. Got burned bad, lucky for them he didn't take the long term deal.

You can scheme guys open on offense. You need talent on defense. That has not changed.

We have played this game before about scheming guys open.

Remember when you blamed everything on Roman and I said it was because Kap was a pathetic QB? Funny how that works.

Haven't you learn your lesson yet from KFFL?

Ya. Who needs a NT? We don't need to worry about stopping the run. Let's put a 270 pound guy at NT and a 6'7 guy who gets destroyed by leverage inside together.

Brilliant
Give me Mike Williams this year teamed with Garcon and Co and Cousins next year over Soloman Thomas any day of the week.

I forgot to tell you we're trading back up into the first round for a LEO so we can have 4 first rounders on the DL.

Book it!

He's angling for Sam Darnold in 2018. Let teams run for 200 yard/game against us, draft Darnold and Da'Ron Payne, see if Thomas/Lynch can play LEO in 2017 or if we need to bring in someone else. Armstead becomes rotational depth/trade bait. I like it!

Thomas --- Payne --- Buckner --- Lynch/Draft Pick

Harold --- Bowman --- Smith

but Armstead was more of a "potential" / "upside" pick

Wait...You're having a fit about drafting DL three yrs in a row and calling out the lions, who in turn drafted WRs three yrs in the row and ultimately ended up with CJ...you notice they didn't do s**t until matt stafford came there? Pretty sure the only reason we made it to the SB in the first place was because of players like Justin smith and Ray.

we added three WRs one who has 100+ catches and 1,400 yards last time he played with Kyle & another who's the fastest player in the NFL. WR needs to be upgraded but no wr is even close to worth the 2nd pick...there's no CJ or Julio in this draft. I'd be all over Corey Davis in a trade down , but what we've been discussing in this scenario is staying at two.

Last I saw Thomas was tops in the nation at stopping the run...oh we will also be playing in nickel more than base. You can add a big fatty late in the draft, I like the kid from USC (don't make me spell his last name)

Big slow mike Williams who can't run routes yeah perfect...we the lions? Kyle needs smart WRs that can run routes.

You know what's boring watching teams run on us all day...I'd love some three and outs and actually give our offense a chance
