Same for the Jets. Same for the Lions when they took all those receivers.

Your not winning with out a qb period...there isn't one worth drafting at two. They haven't been losing because of poor defense play

Well then what's the point of even showing up?

Your point is that take the BPA but he won't help us win games. An All star Dline in NY and LA but both teams are pathetic. Ya, let's replicate them.

Why not surround an average QB with elite talent?

The Saints, GB, Atl and others have had pathetic defenses but they are still in it every year. Why is that? Lights out offenses.

This isn't 1980 anymore. The game has changed.

And still, 3 of the last 6 Super Bowl winners were known for top notch defenses.

No you get talent and then look for a qb...I have no idea what your even trying to argue? You want to draft a wr? Didn't you just say look at the lions?

An yet NE won because that defense gave up the lest amount of pts a game this yr. Seattle top D, the broncos won that SB because of D, NY top end D

The Saints-7-9, 7-9, 7-9. I wouldn't say that is in it. The Rams have had fairly similar records, both teams were missing one major element, the Saints a defense, the Rams a QB worth a damn.

If the idea is that they are going to make a full run at Cousins next year, then you want to build up the roster with as many talented players as possible, on both sides of the ball.

In it every year? Maybe GB and they have an elite QB and some quality players around him.

The game has changed but the passing game needs an elite QB. WRs don't make QBs and any team who tries to build their offense based on WR improving the QB will fail. Look at the Jets with Fitzpatrick. Got burned bad, lucky for them he didn't take the long term deal.

You can scheme guys open on offense. You need talent on defense. That has not changed.

Houston with Osweiler. Every QB needs targets but a good QB makes their receivers better. You can give a poor QB great targets and they will still suck.

True story
Idk about this. This feels like another boring D Lineman pick just like Armstead

serious? armstead was a 1 year starter in college and was a big time reach late in the first.

Even I will admit that this pick isn't like that.

Yes until our D gels into something special, and we're screaming SACK! on Sunday's and the punting unit for the other team trots back out on the field, yet again giving a Shanny created offense another shot at the craft.
Justin Smith was my favorite Niner since Jerry and it's not even close. So I'm biased.
Draft this kid.
Calvin, AJ, Julio yeah you draft them at 2 but Williams, Davis not a chance.

The qualifications for a top 5 we 6'3 215+ 4.3 forty dominated college otherwise no.
