Harold Landry Boston College DE/OLB

I wanted Landry as much as the next guy but nothing we can do about it now. We needed WR, IMO not as much as edge but clearly we had Pettis ranked high and I can see why. Not sure why you want to pretend he's sucking cuz the guy makes rookie mistakes.

You just got it...as I said above as well.

As to Pettis himself, he did NOT have a good game as a starter...at all. 56 of the 64 snaps. 1 catch, 1 drop, 1 fumble, ran the wrong route that darn near costed us a pick-6. He's an OK player at best right now and has a LONG ways to go before he starts contributing as a swing-WR (once Goodwin gets back), let alone, supplants a guy like Garcon, Goodwin or Taylor.
Harold Landry's footwork and manipulation of strides are so sweet. He speeds up the left tackle's clock varying his stride length.

You stop it!
This should've been one of the more obvious picks . I hope they realize than Marsh can't do s**t and get a real pass rusher.
I think Landry is going to be good, but I want to see how he does against a tackle with quick feet like Tyron Smith, Jason Peters or David Bahktiari. I want to see how he adjusts when he can't capture the corner. That'd be a good pass rush barometer.

Titans play Eagles in two weeks. That will be a big test for him.

What irks me is the argument that Landry is a "one-trick pony." This is a weak argument because the overwhelming majority of pass rushers in the NFL don't have one dependable move. How many years have we been waiting for Armstead, Eli, Lemonier and the rest of this poor pass-rush group from the last couple years to develop ONE move with which they can win? Let alone one as devastating as Landry's freakish ability to shrink the arc. Landry is only going to get better and better with coaching because his "one trick" is so devastating that it leaves tackles vulnerable to easy counters.

Health was a legit concern with Landry; Talent was not.

You know what will really sting? If OBO becomes the player we envisioned for the Rams.

OBO and Landry coming off both ends in nickel...for...us.

Can I cry on someones shoulder

But our genius coach thougth Landry wouldn't be able to walk in and take Marsh or Amrstead's job. What an idiot!

Outside of those two hits he managed to put up nothing on the stat sheet.

Stats never tell the full story. It's why you'll rarely ever see me reference stats.

Always rely on the tape. The tape never lies. As I stated, he had more rushes that I am tired to gif right now. But Landry was excellent.

Somebody made a thread on Twitter:

The good news is that next year's draft is pass rusher a plenty.

Considering they do so well in the 7th round. They might as well choose one in the seventh.

I'm still pissed we didn't shoot for Harold Landry.
Finally got a chance to see the Titan's coaching tape. This is Harold Landry's first snap as a pro in the NFL regular season. Shot out of a motherf**king cannon. He smokes the left tackle.

Landry affected the QB more in one game than any edge rusher has around here since Aldon Smith

There's really not much else you can ask for in an outside rusher. He can do his job every play. Picking him would have changed this season.

2. I appreciate you putting in the time to show us this
3. I'm curious what you use to make those gifs
