Don't you think we have other needs on the roster? Rookie first round picks are rarely traded too - if we trade him, we'd be getting pennies on the dollar because teams will think we're giving up on him.

Yep. Tells you how much I think of the guy in a 3-4 system. I would sell him high on potential. IMO he would be an awesome 4-3 DE. Too weak to be a 3-4 DE. Too slow to be a 3-4 OLB. Traps and pulls would all be coming from the same side. It's perfect for what he is right now.

I think we'd get the most back moving on now then later if he continues to put out that kind of film. Look at what the Browns got back for Richardson.

It's obvious that Baalke misses Justin Smith. When he got hurt in the 2013 playoffs, the secondary got exposed because there was no pass rush. Our run defense was gone because Cowboy wasn't there to demand a double team. I'm not saying McDowell is the next Justin Smith (Myles Garrett is) but he's closer to the guy than AA and Buck.

Yeah let's trade a first yr player for less then we spent, draft another DL prospect with what is most likely a top 4 pick when we need much more than that....great way to move the team a long lol.

Buck has been weak against the run since high school. What is this development you speak of? BTW that post was before we made the move to 4-3. Buck would be a perfect 4-3 DE. Been saying that since we hired Saleh.

smh now we gotta deal with this guy in Seattle. Hopefully he doesn't pan out.
