This. With us adding young talent on D-line, I hope Seattle does nothing on O-line.

For now, McDowell's first order of business is recovering from an accident that may have already ended his rookie campaign. On Sunday afternoon, he released this statement on his condition:
"I appreciate the concern regarding my health," McDowell said in a statement posted to Twitter. "I just want to clear the air. I am doing well and expect to rejoin my teammates in Seattle in the next few days. My injury is not life or career threatening as some have speculated. I am grateful for the support I have received from the Seahawks organization, my doctors and my family. You will see me back on the field in the near future."

All of these rookies have a lot to prove and I'm willing to give them time. You?
Nope, trade him and let somebody else wait on him. McDowell is already miles ahead of Buck. Lesser hope is needed with that guy.

So the guy has a car accident and now the verdict is in? Meanwhile you're making every excuse in the planet to prove Cousins is worth it? To each his own I guess. My bad for not seeing a car accident from watching film 10 months ago.

Just let McDowells play speak for itself brotha. I'm with you and think Malik is gonna be really good. I don't know about trading him for Buckner but I get you McDowells gonna make some people look dumb not just in this forum. The fact Seattle who's typically a good drafting team bypassed a need at O-line to draft McDowell who was falling speaks how much they thought of him. In due time he will make teams regret passing on him

A car accident?

10 days before training camp this dude was hauling ass around on an ATV with no helmet on. . There's a reason why most NFL contracts specifically prohibit riding around in off-road vehicles.
That is a special kind of stupid. Nobody has questioned his talent, what people have questioned is his work ethic and intelligence. On the latter part he is definitely showing good reason for those concerns.

Seattle every season throws a bunch of average to worse olineman out there and asks Cable to work miracles. It's become a common practice at this point. That really doesn't mean anything that they passed on an olineman.
They selected McDowell because since Mebane left, they were left with nobody who could generate inside penetration consistently last season, and McDowell offers that possibility. This is a defensive minded team that is going to stay true to it's identity and try to win with it's defense. McDowell was respected as a top 15 "talent" but so are many other players that get taken all the way down to the mid rounds every season. His motor and motivation is what's in question and Carrol has never minded taking risks on players with question marks. Does he offer talented upside? Sure, but for someone to say this guy is close to the talent Buckner is right now or even was coming out of college is crazy talk imo. Buckner was a very underated star down the stretch last season. Teams started moving the ball away from him during games. He had 6 sacks in a scheme that asked him two gap, read and react. What do people think will happen now when he is able to just release and go after the ball?

Seattle has been an average to below average drafting team the past few years. They are still living off of 2010-2012. Beyond that they've had some downright terrible drafts.

Here's to hoping Seadderall continues to have bad drafting luck and hope that our 2017 draft is even better than the 1986 draft.
