No, not really it doesn't remain to be seen. Jimmy is worlds better. Imagine if he had a receiver like Robinson???

Have to disagree my friend. Jimmy throws a lot of Ints and there is a real question about his durability, Trubisky seems to be improving and the question is whether he will continue to do so. I see we aren't going to agree on this, so let's just see what happens.

UNFAIR to compare the two... but I'm now wondering who's laughing about the Bears trading up to get Mitch..
Yea gotta give Mitch some credit. The guy is improving. Probably make a jump up next year as well. Looks worthy of that number 2 pick.

Its funny how that TERRIBLE QB class is balling with Trubisky, Watson and Mahomes.

Yep, we were told that the next year's class (Rosen, Allen, Darnold, Mayfield) was far superior.

That's pretty crazy to think about.

BUT, the most important factor is where you go. Could Trubisky, Mahomes and Watson gone to any better situations?

Mitch named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for week 10.

Deal
The Bears still have not beaten that team over .500 and Mitch has still thrown the most interception worthy throws in the NFL. PFF ranks him Dead last or close to Last and I have to agree. He is not accurate and that's really hard to fix. Even when they beat up against bad teams that's the only reason he's looking this good but hey. We'll see

Yes, it remains to be seen how he will perform. I'd say don't overreact if he has another great game, or if he has a bad game. As you know, QBs progress at different rates. Some start with a bang, and others, including some very good ones, take several years to reach their potential. What bothered me was that a few media types branded Trubisky a bust because he started slowly this year and didn't look great under a very poor offensive coach last year. Same goes with Jimmy G. Let's see how they turn out in a couple of years before jumping to conclusions.
Trubisky has done great in highlights and paper. But he's beyond blessed to have Nagy as a coach. Dude is just like Shanahan, will consistently get you wide open receivers. Unfortunately trubisky still finds ways to miss them or throw picks.

Just his second year. And only had one full year of college football. So he should still be getting better.
Not comparing the actual play of the two, more the situation and truth of the matter, Trubisky has to be the Alex Smith of this team and not make mistakes and lose the game while his defense dominates, once he has to truly step up and make big plays in huge moments we will really see how good he is..

This. Have to remember that not only is he a second year player, he had just a year as a starting QB in college.

That said, he's thrown for 2800 yards with 23 TDs and a passer rating of 94 after missing a fee games. He has had some really good games along with some bad ones but he has definitely shown progress as a passer.

It's for the better that he's not great and misses wide open receivers, often times has poor placement, and messes up game flow at times. Because then that team would be unstoppable.

To be fair to Mitch though. Chase Daniel for whatever reason was one of the most overrated backups I'd ever seen. He hardly played in his career, short qb, undrafted qb. But he was given a 3 year 21 mil deal by the eagles then 2 year 10 mil by the Bears. And he had his shot to start this year and the team wasn't nearly as good as they were with Mitch.

dude is young and at least he's showing promise early. The 2017 qb class is a lot better than we thought (minus Kizer)
