Nothing is more valuable than a FQB, even multiple studs at other positions. Obviously it's early on all accounts sooo.....

Oops. Bad pick there. He was fortunate that his TD throw wasn't an interception, but Smith got him there.

The two-point conversion play was awesome. Saw Clemson do some similar things with Tajh Boyd/Andre Ellington/Nuk Hopkins/Sammy Watkins back a few years ago.

Sus will highlight the touchdown pass as the reason we should not have made the trade.
To be fair to Mitch. Vikings d is one of the best in the league. Plus it was a divisional game, which is usually tougher.

In 5 games Vikings allowed 6 td and had 5 int to QBs. Which were Brees, Big Ben, Winston, Stanford, Mitch

I hope people learned from Goff and realize that his numbers from his rookie season mean absolutely zero.

Mitch is exactly what I expected him to be at this point. By the end of next season, he's going to be one of the best QBs in the league. The future is bright for the Bears.

Niners on the other hand? Depends on if the Browns can get a couple of wins or not.
He will ball against us

Right. So when Mitch sucks "it's just his rookie season." But when Thomas isn't playing like a superstar in his first year (check that, five games) or when Shanahan isn't coaching a playoff team in his first year "he's a bust."

Holy **** **** this fanbase.

Thomas gets a year to prove himself too. But DL don't take as long to develop as QBs. So Thomas needs to start embarrassing some OL by the end of the year, or else it's looking like disappointment city for a #3 overall pick.

Numbers are misleading. Bears were ridiculously conservative on offense, running way too much, trying to protect him it seemed, and some of his completions came back for unrelated penalties. He didn't seem overwhelmed by the moment, and his athletic ability and the way he uses it are exactly the stuff you are looking for but rarely find. It comes around once every Rodgers, Romo, and Favre. He'll juke a blitzer coming right at him, get outside the pocket, and drill a completion. He'll slide away from the rush, reset his feet, and hit a pass down field.

And he would fit perfectly in a Shanahan offense. What the heck was Kyle watching? Or was he overruled by John Lynch and his Stanford classroom connection, which means Lynch should be fired yesterday?
I liked how he played today. Too early to tell how good he will be, but he has the it factor IMO. FQB has super hard to come by, and if he becomes one and we passed on him, there needs to be heads rolling for sure. It would be a huge miss knowing we could have landed him.
I liked what I saw. A lot of positive flashes, with some rookie mistakes. Had a few passes called back on ticky tack calls. If I'm a Bears fan I'm excited for the future. Hopefully the Bears can draft some more receiving weapons for him. That current group looks horrendous.

He looked promising.
I thought he looked bad

That Zach Miller TD should have been a pick
