You're rooting for the Niners to draft Trubisky? 'Cause that's what'll happen if they have the #1 pick.

You sound so sure that Garrett will be there at 2

Just my guess, but I'm pretty confident that's how it's going to happen.

Main reason for their losses this year = defense

I mean 29th in total offense doesn't help...they need defensive help and a new DC IMO. One guy draft at the top on defense isn't gonna turn them into a winning franchise a qb can.

Perfect example is this Denver team top end defense gonna waste away because the team can't score points. The defensive players are actually getting in fights with the offensive guys because of it.

Get some solid defensive vets draft a qb mix it up.
Is there anyway we can have lower than the 2nd overall pick?

No. We have #2 locked up even if we beat Seattle.

Don't think so. Worst case we get 3 wins but our sos will give us the tie breaker iirc.

Great! So annoy about losing out on that top pick but what you gonna do.
Hopefully there is a QB desperate team willing to trade the farm for the Niners pick!

Only annoyed that we may not get a shot at Myles Garrett. But, I think there are plenty of worthy options at #2. On top of that, there may be several very lucrative trade up offers. We're good either way.

Not sure how lucrative they will be. But I have to imagine there will be several offers to choose from.

I don't think the #2 pick is very tradeable, too expensive for teams in the mid to bottom first round and all the top 10 teams should be fine with staying where they are and getting a really good defender. Everyone wants to trade down this year.
The Browns will earn the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft with a loss to the Steelers in week 17.

If the Browns beat the Steelers, which is possible since Pittsburgh could rest a number of starters, the 49ers could lock in the No. 1 pick with a loss of their own. Both teams are bad, but with a number of teams on the bench, the Steelers could be led by Landry Jones. The 49ers are facing the Seattle Seahawks, with no reason to rest players. In a sick twist of fate, the Browns could end the season on a winning streak.

I am hearing the same here even Big Ben said week 17 will be a good week to heal coming into the playoffs. I really Hope Tomlin decides to put in all his back ups N somehow someway Cleveland finds a way to beat Pittsburgh. No way in hell we beat the Cawks this Weekend.
