Iowa DT Carl Davis pre-draft visits: Dallas, Miami, Detroit, San Francisco, Buffalo and Chicago.

I would absolutely do backflips if we took Davis in the first. Legitimate top 15 talent.

No doubt. He was on the list as well!

Not a fan of the on-off motor and how everyone says he's lazy....

I haven't seen any legitimate reports of this, and his tape doesn't indicate it at all. In all the games of him I saw, I didn't see anything to indicate a lackluster effort or him taking off snaps. In several games, Davis was double or even triple teamed in order to stop him.

I've read reports of him being a little lazy and not being in great shape...I haven't watched a ton of games of him, so I'll take your word on his play. IMO I think he's a solid pick in the 2nd not a top 15 selection. But you know more than me
I remember reading a report during the SeniorBowl that he had a bad interview but I've always wanted him in red n gold and smfh every time I read A Armstead mocked to us.

In the end, there's so much behind the scenes that even the media doesn't know, sometimes even the most "educated" draftniks wind up looking plain silly -- we've all had our share of those moments. For now I'm just embracing the excitement and hoping to continue the trend of many more "hits" than "misses".

After watching interviews from Denzel Perryman, Stephone Anthony and Paul Dawson, based on their interviews I would have to go with either Stephone Anthony or Denzel Perryman. Both seem really humble show good attitude toward the game and their teams. Based on his interview, Dawson strikes me as cocky, don't give a s**t attitude, kind of a turn off IMO. As much as I wanted Dawson as a 49er, I've got a change of heart about him now. Some might say it's only a damn interview, but I believe the way a player interviews tells a lot about him and his character. You're mixing so many personalities in your locker room that you gotta be careful and not find one that just stirs up s**t and that's how I see Dawson. You be the judge:

Dawson is being interviewed after a game where they just beat the #4 team in the nation. Not cocky to me, just a confident guy who felt his team was being disrespected. The other 2 were interviewed after pro-days in a less competitive environment. Plus who says we draft any of these guys? Matt Miller doesn't think we take one in the first couple rounds.

Think we could find a backup later in the later rounds, and if ILB is a dire need next year, there's a lot of good possible prospects. Cassanova McKinzy, Scooby Wright, Reggie Ragland, Kentrell Brothers, plus guys who could surprise this year in college like Reuben Foster or Hardy Nickerson Jr.

We are 1/1 on the meetings list so far.. looking good to make it 2/2...

could go DGB, Smith, Coates, any of the ILB's. We will have to see but like we all say if you want to know who we could draft this is the best place to look. Every year at least 1-2 if not 3-4 of these guys end up on our team. Usually by the time you get UDFA's its more like 5-6.

And I even got AA right too. So we're rolling!

And this is all very true. IIRC OTC said we are usually at 80-85%. Great sign!

if we draft coates I will puke!!!!!!!!
UPDATE: Usually we have 3-4 guys on this list drafted or later picked up in UDFA. This year we had Armstead and Mike Davis. So keep an eye on this list guys, every year at least 1-2 guys we take will be on this list.
