To say he is comparable to the best WR in the league last year (Brown) and a up and coming stud like OBJ is a little silly. He can't run routes like those guys.

He does have the potential to improve into a wideout like Antonio or OBJ3... so there should be nothing wrong with his sentiments there. Dorsett does need to refine his routes.. which is why he will not likely be a top 20 selection this year.

I mean every WR in the draft has potential to improve it's a bit extreme to compare him to players of that caliber. I see speed and a body type the same as John Brown. He doesn't make catches like those two and his route running is nothing special. I think he would be a nice weapon for a team, but I don't see a #1 WR like OBJ and Brown.

If he is there in the 3rd and we haven't drafted a WR yet I'd be fine with grabbing him....I'd prefer Tyler Lockett though.

So it is completely okay to compare them, especially when they are all comparable in size, speed and flair.

Brown is 5'10 185. Ran a 4.5 40 and a 6.8 cone

Dorset 5'10 185 4.33 40. 3.67 cone

Well, first of all...Antonio brown wasn't a first round pick. Obj was but nobody thought he would have the season he did, and I'm pretty sure nobody saw Antonio brown becoming one of the best receivers out of his draft class.

I'm comparing based on what I saw in college...I'm sure no one was comparing Brown to Jennings or Wallace coming out of college. Just because they are the same size and fast doesn't make them the same

FYI I was all about OBJ and had SF moving up in my mock last year . He is fast, ran crisp routes, has long arms (for his height) and huge hands.

I'm not saying Dorsett won't be a stud, but I find it a bit silly to compare him to those two, I could very well say he is comparable to Jacoby Ford as well.

I agree with this. We could easily find players who share the physical attributes of Jerry Rice who may not even be drafted. Dorsett is nowhere near as polished as Brown and there are dozens of receivers who share their attributes but don't turn into Antonio Browns. I loved OBJ last season for the same reasons and argued against a lot of Brandin Cooks fans on here who wanted him instead.

Dorsett isn't the route runner OBJ was coming out and doesn't have the same long arms and huge hands. He will probably never be half as good as OBJ was as a rookie, but he could still be a decent player in the second or third round. I'd take Devin Smith over Dorsett because he's shown more ability to track deep balls and is bigger and more physical (only slightly slower despite what the 40's say). I still find it surprising that people are mocking Dorsett in the first round when he wasn't that productive in college and is small with short arms. He's like a much less polished Brandin Cooks.

For me, I just see Dorsett as a legit "surprise 1st rd pick" possibility. Not to say he's a lock... or that's he's magnificent.. or flawless. He has impressive potential, and I can see a team falling for him. I can also see him falling to the 3rd round. You just never know.. he's a day 2 guy that may wow enough with his speed to go higher.

Most seem to know that Dorsett's freshman QB was crap, and I don't think I have ever heard a positive thing about Miami's coaching scheme last season. Will be interesting after the free agency frenzy passes on the changes in teams priorities for the draft. Already the Bears trade of Marshall puts them as an excellent landing spot for Dorsett with their 2nd Rd pick at #39, who would be a nice complement to Alshon Jeffery. Also read this morning that the Chargers are going hard after Suh (as well as the Dolphins), which has speculation that the Raiders are going to offer big money to Randall Cobb and Julius Thomas. If they land those 2 receivers, Raiders probably pass on WR at #4 and take an edge rusher, which would drop White/Cooper down the draft a few spots.
