Ginn made the right move for himself. He works with a qb like Cam who's constantly looking to sling it deep. When he got playing time here in 11 he had Alex Smith as his qb. Someone you have to beat over the head to chuck it deep.

Play Crabtree in slot. He had great body control. Find a way to effectively use all your pieces.

No bench.... Talent was needed, injuries happen. What happens when you cannot use all your pieces or lack there of.
Vernon Davis had back problems, Crabtree had surgery or injury problems. There was a need at one point during that run for a bench.

I know you want to bring the conversation back around to bash Baalke but Baalke didn't choose not to play Ginn. That was a mistake. He's shown that the last 5 years. If Harbaugh can't change his scheme to fit talent that's an indictment of his coaching ability. Bellicheck tweaks his defense every year to fit what he has.
