Besides Luck, which QBs are most NFL ready? And by NFL ready, I mean able to come and start right away their rookie season.

IMO, it's possible that Mallett could start sometime late in his rookie year, but it won't be pretty. Though Locker might be able to grasp an NFL playbook, I have serious doubts he'd be able to execute at a high enough level.

The rest will need at least 1 full year (or more) before they're functional...again, just my opinion.

Basically my thoughts exactly. As I continue to say, every QB has some big issues they'll need to tune up before they really will be able to play at the NFL level. All QB's entering this draft have something that is worrisome. Mallett just terrifies me -- he's a boom or bust prospect, I feel.

I agree with you on Mallett. If he lands with the right team/coach/system, is allowed to develop slowly and has the right mental approach, he could be an absolute stud. He has all the tools to become a lethal pocket passer, along the lines of a Peyton Manning (IMO).

However, if any of the points mentioned above don't happen for him, he could turn into a real hot mess.

First off let me put my Anti-Flame suit on......Let's all put our thinking caps on here for a moment.
Let's just say Andrew Luck and Blaine Gabbert don't declare this year, Automatically putting Luck, Gabbert, and Locker as next years top 3, pending other performances. What if our new HC decides he wants to see what Nate Davis and a developmental qb pick like Delvin could do with veteran(Bulger anyone?) to mentor them?
Davis or Delvin either fail miserably and we use our vet to pull out a 2-4 win season or one of them pans out and we keep him around? Realistically as long as don't have another 0-16 team that puts us in the running for Luck and gives the new coaching staff a chance to evaluate all of the talent at QB. Also Gabbert looks like a decent pick and if Locker is really the supposed #1 of last years draft had he come out would it be so bad to wait a year and get him or Luck? I see way to many scenarios where we either make the playoffs and sing keeps his job or all the high profile, immediate impact QBs are off the board.
Thoughts anyone?
Have any of you guys seen much of Blaine Gabbert? McShay, for all it's worth has come out and said that he thinks he's the #2 ranked QB (should he choose to declare) on his big board.

Take a look:

Another project. IMO, I think he should stay in school (not that he said hes coming out), but hes got some accuracy issues he needs to work on before he gets to the Pro's. And he forces a lot of balls. No way would I take this kid in the 1st round.
I believe if we get a new coach, they've gotta be better than sing and they could win 6 to 7 games with Troy smith if they keep him,or dare I say Alex while letting the rookie watch and learn. Now if sing stays I believe we could be looking at a worse season and actually have a shot at the number 1 in 12,but who knows maybe he gets a good oc and learns to change his stubborn ways, which I doubt will happen so thats my take on it.

Exactly I still believe of our game plans have lost us 4 of our games, not our QB or DB situations.

my head hurts...
I don't see how Gabbert could be ahead of Mallet. Take whatever McShay says with a grain of salt. He's famous for declaring Andre Woodson to be a first round pick, he got drafted in the later rounds, maybe 7th, and is now out of the league. Not that they don't all make mistakes, but Mallet makes all of the throws, his decision making is a little shaky right now, but he's played in a pro set and its better than a guy who can't make all the throws who also has questionable decision-making (Locker). If I'm looking for a quarterback I'd assess them this way:
Luck, top 10 pick
Mallet, top 15 pick
Locker, Newton 20-end of first
Stanzi, Gabbert late first-early second

We're going to need a real good OL to keep any QB healthy. I don't see why expecting our OLine to play well is such a big thing to ask, and why that should deter us from drafting certain QBs. They're all first and 2nd round picks, it's put up or shut up time for the OLine. Either play well under a new coach or GTFO. I mean dang bro, you need a good OL regardless or you're going to suck.

im willing to bet that our oline sucked a lot due to having 2 rookies and having an inept coaching staff. i expect other than rachel who to me is a lost cause to come out much better as a unit next yr with the new staff
