If Al Davis knew what was best for his team, he'd be taking an OL. He already has a #1 WR. Russell and that line just can't get it to him..

I promise you that he will take Heyward-Bey. Bey is a typical Al Davis player, big and extremly fast. I must admit his TD this weekend was breathtaking but he hasn´t really done that much this season. Davis has his QB, Davis has his RB and now he will have his dream WR in Bey.

Bey won't go Top 10, Crabtree likely will. So If Al wants DHB he'd have to trade down or up from the 2nd.

They also have the option of tagging Asomugha again but with him being unhappy they could do so to deal him and end up with two 1st round picks. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a team like Philly try to entice the Raiders with either packaging up their 2 1sts or possibly sending either Sheppard or Reggie Brown with a 1st (and possibly another pick) for the Raiders pick (which will likely be top 5 barring a miracle it seems). The Eagles could be interested in Crabtree or they could look to land either Oher, Smith or Monroe.

I also wouldn't put it pass Al to draft the LT the team desperately needs this year. He has done it in the past, he's done it 2 or 3 times before (albeit unsuccessfully). So I for one would not be the least bit surprised if he invests in a LT to protect his 60 million dollar QB.

But where we'd be picking would be too high to grab Cody, we'd either have to deal up from the 2nd or move down in the 1st. Also no guarantee that Cody declares and no guarantee we'll still be a 3-4 team. Cody also has a downside to him, he needs better conditioning because he wears down and disappears late in games. He kinda reminds me of another Ted Washington. I wouldn't be opposed if we remain a 3-4 team as we badly need a NT to make it work and either he or Raji needs to be a part of this team if we are going to continue to try and make the 3-4 work. However I think we'd be best off going back to a 4-3 base this offseason.
For those of you who saw the game instead of the USC-CAL game

Don't know why you hate on Crabtree so much. He's the best WR in the nation right now. Plus, Cody probably won't declare this year. Also, Cody is down to 365 lbs.

Do not be so sure of that. Heyward-Bey is widely regarded as by far the best Junior wide-receiver in football and seen as one of the top 3 with Crabtree and Maclin. He could absolutely, and quite likely may go in the top 10 to a team that covets that speed and physicality. Look at Troy Williamson. 7th overall.

At this point, all evidence points to DHB likely going top 10. Surely that could change, but there is little reason, at least at this point, for me to think it will.

Im kinda getting off the Crabtree bandwagon a little bit. Would prefer a franchise QB like a Stafford.
How about someone on defense who can force at least ONE motherf**king turnover on Kurt Warner in EIGHT motherf**king quarters!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
This isn't the don't draft Crabtree thread. Let me reiterate, LET'S DRAFT HIM!
wk after wk were getting closer on getting a chance of drafting him

FYI - the guy in the picture in not Terrence Cody... Nice try though. Additionally, I cant bring myself to drafting a 2-down D-lineman over a potential pro-bowl caliber WR... sorry.

I hear you... Im wavering between these two everyday. Drafting crabtree seems like the safer and more exciting pick, but after watching us play - it is abundantly clear that QB is our area of greatest need.

I just think that there are better prospects out there that will cause his stock to fall into the 10-20 range.

Oher
Monroe
Laurinaitis
Maualuga
Jenkins
V.Davis
Orakpo
M.Johnson
Moore

That doesn't include Andre Smith, Stafford,Bradford,Tebow,Wells & Crabtree.
