If Oakland is smart they'll grab one of the awesome LT's at the top of the board. If their the Raiders they'll draft Darius Heyward Bey (the speediest, physical speciman of anyone).

Hopefully Al Davis is stupid enough to take the faster timed player in Heyward-Bey, or maybe take a linebacker such as Laurainitis or Maualuga.

If Al Davis knew what was best for his team, he'd be taking an OL. He already has a #1 WR. Russell and that line just can't get it to him..

I think that this draft would provide us the talent that we absolutely need talent.

PASS RUSHERS

Both Sintim and Peach already play linebacker. Unlike many of the Nolan era draftees, they will not need to learn a new position.

Sintim is one of the leading pass rushers the BCS. He has 10 sacks in nine games.
Greg Peach is the leading pass rusher in the FCS. He has 14 sacks in eight games.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE

Raji will bring instant relief. S. Lee Hill brings a ton–a 1/3 of a ton– with him.
Hill may be a bit of a project, but he is well worth a 6th round pick.


DEFENSIVE BACKFIELD

R. Johnson is a ball-hawking safety. Do we need one of those? Well, with R. Johnson and R. Smith we might have two.

Clements will need a partner. T. Brown should be that next year. L. Webb will push for to be our nickel back.


OFFENSIVE LINE

Unger can play tackle, guard, and center. I see him playing at right tackle.

Over the last three years, well maybe the last two years, our interior line has given up numerous sacks.

Feinga plays a BYU. I can not imagine a line man at BYU that does not know how to pass block.
Could be a starter by the end of his rookie year.

QUARTERBACK

My gut deals me that Alex Smith will be back with a cap friendly contract. My mind tell me that Smith might be ok. Having Nathan Brown on the squad would make me feel much better about the future.

I want to address your point about Calvin Johnson. He is having a great year in Detroit, considering the offensive woes they have. Multiple QBs and a horrible O-line, he can still make some good catches and help move the chains.

But Detroit isn't a great example because Millen is worse than Nolan and Scot...as horrible as that sounds...at building a team.

One of the main reasons why Matt Ryan is doing great this year is because of Roddy White. He has a go-to WR when they need to open up the defense and pass.

But the fact of the matter is that rarely do #1 prototypical WRs are available in the open market 6-4 200+ 4.4 speed. Crabtree possess those qualities, and we've been in need of a WR target ever since Owens left.

Crabtree, Bruce, Battle, Davis, Walker, and Gore really make formidable offensive weapons. I am now also convinced we need to draft Harrell in the 3rd or 4th round. DAMN!

I think we agree about Calvin Johnson. I think.

I am convinced that Crabtree will be a very high quality wide receiver in the the NFL. I just think that the getting three high picks for him might be better for the team.

My draft trade scenario is just an attempt to illustrate how such a trade could help us solve multiple, and major, problems.

But, it is still along way to draft, I am open-minded. I do not think I will complain very much if we draft him.

To me this guy has Al Davis drooling. Davis is gong to ruin the careers of Russel, McFadden, and Crabtree, but because he has the call on draft day, I don't see "Mr. Davis" passing him over. Especially since non of their receivers this year can get open.

Davis is drooling, but for a whole different reason.

And he's more of a speed guy. He doesn't really go for guys that will 'produce', he just likes it when they run fast.

I promise you that he will take Heyward-Bey. Bey is a typical Al Davis player, big and extremly fast. I must admit his TD this weekend was breathtaking but he hasn´t really done that much this season. Davis has his QB, Davis has his RB and now he will have his dream WR in Bey.

I agree, Bey will be number one reciever drafter probably because of the combine. Look at Vernon for example. Shoulda been a 3d rounder. I wonder how his lil brother will be because dont u want cockiness out of a corner? V.D.s attitude might be perfect for a corner but i watched some youtube on the guy and looks like he jumps the ball everytime inside goin for the big play but he tackles the guy while goin for it everytime so I dont think that hell be a good pro until he gains some dicipline.
Bottom line, Crabtree will probably be 2 wr taken unless he posts an amazing 40. But for all you guys really know, Crabtree could be like Peter Warrick and plus he has one of the best collegiate qbs throwing the ball to him putting up godly Madden numbers and some other poster has pointed out. Funny thing is I kinda hope we get Crabtree too and Im wrong.

wow, people pick on Crabtree's speed because it's the only metric he isn't absolutely elite in, but he ISN'T slow... he is actually pretty damn fast
he just isnt tops in the country like his other talents
people have blown that out of proportion
