Hicks, Goldman and Watt would be quite the DL.

GB has to be in play too. Home state, plus where he went to college and they have the discount double check guy to help make things more attractive.

If the guy still ALL WORLD, do you think Houston will release him??

... WATT suckin will still be better than both AA and Ford combined...

something you need realize, the Bengals thought of the same when they let COWBOY signed with us.. how many years did he man our DL??

as for the Clowney, the guy still young and still want to land his big pay day... so the only way he can do that is if he plays like one..

IF AA benefited from Ford - Bucko and Bosa, how much MORE will Clowney benefit if he lines up with WATT - KINLAW - BOSA ??
Watt could be our new Justin Smith for a couple seasons.

It would be pretty damn sweet to have him with Bosa.

Justin Smith was 27, had only played like 7 seasons and had missed 3 games when we signed him.

JJ Watt is about to turn 32 and has missed like 32 games in 10 seasons.

Smith didn't have a body breaking down on him and wasn't out of his prime when we signed him. Watt is breaking down and is no longer in his prime.

Watt and Clowney are going to cost quite a bit combined. And Watt has never played inside full time.

We don't need older beat up players, even if they are JJ Watt IMO. And we shouldn't be gambling on a career underachiever in Clowney hoping that the light bulb finally turns on. We aren't in a place where we need to be that desperate.

COWBOY - the point I was making is that EVEN AT 27, the Bengals did not believe in Justin enough to sign the guy..

we are RE-LOADING, not rebuilding... we can sign both Clowney and Watt.. Watt would love to be w/a team who can contend for the Super Bowl.. if he and

Clown won't break the bank, then why not sign them??

The Bengals chose not to resign Smith because although he was solid and durable, they didn't believe he was worth what he was seeking. They believed in him, just thought he had outpriced himself.

We can't sign them because we can't be confident in Watts health, and we need to not be taking risks on players with questionable health. Clowney is an underachiever who has 3 sacks in his last 21 games. 7 seasons in and he is a disappointment. There is no reason to have confidence in him finally proving to be a productive and consistent player. There will be smarter options available.
sign WATT trade Bourne and a 5th for DONALD it's EASY
