Not sure if anyone mentioned it already, but the 49ers were high on John Ross during the draft process. 👀

The WR FA crop this year is not good. Bunch of #3-4 guys.

Injuries are the cause of not being able to see what this kid brings to the table, I wouldn't be opposed to trading a late RD pick for him as long he's not depended on, also need to add AB, sign a WR or draft a WR in the 2nd RD.. I could see the pats, GB or the Seahawks trading for him and him becoming what he was thought to be..

If Ross doesn't turn it around then we would've failed to get Jimmy more weapons because we dumpster dove instead of going after someone like AB or using #36 to draft someone to replace Garcon.
I feel like Lynch is trying to hit a homerun this off season and I'm not sure Ross helps accomplish that.
If they went after Ross, it would be as a guy that could supplant Richie James or Kendrick Bourne, not as a #1 or #2 WR.
I don't think Shanahan would have any problem finding ways to utilize his homerun speed. His explosiveness makes him a natural redzone threat, a guy that quick can get open in a hurry and beat defenders right off the line with his speed.
I'm not sure KS is ready to throw in the towel on either Bourne or James, so if we trade for Ross that might be our top 6 with Goodwin, Pettis and Taylor. This is the main reason I'm not good with settling for Ross because I feel like we probably won't add anyone else who isn't practice squad eligible, meaning late round pick and UDFA's.
Though, I do agree that he's very talented and KS might get the best out of him, but everyone thinks that when they acquire former first round picks.
IMO, Ross is a plan C type if better options fall through.

Conditional 2020 5th round pick. Can end up being a 4th depending on performance. Get it done Lynch. I could see Ross reaching his potential with Shanny and a quick release qb like Jimmy G.

I would give up a 4th or 5th round pick at best for john ross . I think the niners could have interest if they fail at trading for AB or OBJ .

At worst if we traded for Ross the 49ers in Madden would be unstoppable lol

The free agent wrs are so bad and uninspiring that there will be a fair share of trades for wrs .
