So I was just reading comments to an article about free agents coming to the niners and seen in the comments someone say he has an opt out clause in his contract after this season and it's true, I kno it's crazy to think or maybe more like wishful thinking but he isn't having the year he did under Shanahan and if the falcons do nothing this year he could want out and exercise that opt out clause and become a free agent, but then the falcons can tag him correct ? Or is there something in the contract they can't if he opts out ? I kno this is a pipe dream but cool to imagine and converse about, I mean the thought of him wanting to play for Shanahan is not crazy..

lol right the whole point is to hope you can pay those positions at some point....they need to keep drafting well, so that they can have a competitive team while still being able to pay those stud players.

This. If the Falcons continue to draft well, they will be competitive year in and out.

Falcons are going to have some financial decisions here shortly. Deion Jones and Grady Jarrett, two of the best young players at their respective positions, need new contracts.

If Grady hits free agency, Lynch better throw the bag his way. Grady and Defo in the middle.

#Falcons WR Julio Jones does not plan to report to camp and he is comfortable sitting out the entire time, sources said. He is still seeking a contract adjustment, while the team made clear to him they did not plan to give him one. He appears resolute in his mindset.

that stat is misleading if you don't watch the games

See I'm not sure if that's his or the teams opt out..

Those Potential Out's for that site means when the team could cut him, not that he can opt out. No NFL contracts have opt outs for players side, some have Team Options, none I've seen have player options.
