So, if they think he's worth $8M for 2016 and we're on the hook for roughly $12M, can we just pay the Browns $4M for next year? If so, I suppose the problem is the remaining years on the contract. Otherwise, to lose only $4M and get an early 3rd round pick would appear to be a no brainer.

I don't think the Broncos are even in the ball game right now.

yep i think Kap is playing hardball with the browns because he realized how s**tty they are. I bet he would take a similar paycut with the broncos

Yeah they said it would take 4-6 months to be fully recovered. so he has 2 in a half weeks to make it work lol...I don't see him being ready to roll off of 3 surgeries. IF SF has to pay for that cash if he's on the team or cut it makes zero sense to cut him. He can get healthy and rejoin the team and try to rebuild his image and career or he can sulk on the sidelines lol.

IF he wants to actually get paid in the future his best bet is to prove to teams he can play IMO. Denver has zero leverage in this and if there fine with sanchez then so be it...I highly doubt that though.

I still see the Browns being the team to pull the trigger. There already fine with giving up the 3rd and if Kap really wants to leave he will have to come down a little OR SF can pay for some of that cash and the Browns could throw in a conditional pick in 2017 based on time played.

A big power move by the 49ers would be to sign Fitz, eliminating all other competition. The Jets, Browns, and Broncos would all be at Baalke's mercy. Baalke has the cap room and power to turn this offseason upside down and that may be the plan and why little has been done in free agency thus far.

Lets not forget Trent just believed Kap when he said his hand was fine after the Seattle game. So they didn't even have an MRI done. Could have done it and had surgery 10 months before they did and be good to go by now.
