They can't cut him until he passes his physical and it's reported he isn't gonna be full recovered until after April 1st. So they will be on the hook either way for that cash regardless

Yep, because of the three surgeries Kaepernick probably won't be able to pass his physical April 1st anyway. The 49ers already are factoring that in, but not Elway. The 49ers have enough cap room to either force him to compete, let him simmer on the bench, or hold out and lose his salary. Baalke is holding all the cards right now. Elway is the one bluffing, he has no leverage, either he gives the 49ers what they want or he starts Sanchez this season.

If we're paying him regardless, then screw the Broncos. See how they like trying to repeat with Sanchez on the field. If Kap wants to be a b***h, he can get paid while being banned from the team's facilities. That's what happens when you have $60M in the bank and nobody to use it on.

Browns and 49ers are said to have agreed on the draft pick. The Browns just need to work out Kaps new contract.

You also need to pass a physical to have a trade accepted.
