Danny Trevathan at 4 years, $28 million. Great deal for a stud linebacker. Missed on this opportunity.

this. 49ers shoulda atleast atleast walked away with 2 All Pros along the Oline. Instead its Baalk'e draft picks turnstiles M Martin and B Thomas get bull rushed and the QBS KILLED
This organization is a joke, dont even know why I waste my time.

I'm told NT Jaye Howard has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the #Chiefs worth up to $12M.
That's way too steep for us right? GIve me a break. Baalke is a complete joke. I know money has been crazy...I'm not talking about the deals Vernon and Malik got but the front office needs to adjust their dollar value of players when the cap keeps going up. I swear Baalke's dollar value is stuck on 2012's cap

It's like you don't understand "value." As a real GM and not just someone that plays one on playstation, you have to think long term. Meaning, are Brooks and Mack going to be worth it 2-3 years from now? What's the difference in value between them and "second tier" FAs? Are there comparable options in the draft? Does it make more sense to trade for a guy? Of course, at the end of the day it's a gamble but it is NOT always a matter of going out and getting any and everyone that's better than what you have on the roster.
Players aren't paid with monopoly money, you know.
It's like you don't understand this team has $60 million dollars in cap space right now and Trent is too buys tendering terrible players like Jordan Devey and bringing in the dregs of the FA period in Larsen to try and help out the o-line. Do you really think we're going to fill ALL of these holes through the draft? With Baalke's track record, I wouldn't hold my breath.
I'd bet the house you were one of those guys singing this same song right before we signed Nate Clements. Fast forward two years:
"OMG HE SUCKS WHY DID WE SIGN HIM OUR FO IS TEH JOKE!!!!"
Devey and Larsen are depth. Simmer down.

This. Who should the 49ers have signed that would have satisfied people?
Four things about today...........
1) Liked that they signed Ian Williams. Keeping him was a positive.
2) Like that they are in the running for Sean Smith. Losing to the Raiders on this guy would suck big time. Get it done!
3) If the Broncos actually approached the Niners about Kaep, why didn't they listen to an offer? Apparently they turned them down flat. Just dumb IMO
4) Baalke and the front office closed the day with news about two scrubs who shouldn't even be considered this early in the offseason. That is so typical and frankly embarrassing,
Like all four of your points. Exactly how I feel.

Hoping the team would have taken a serious look at Chase Daniel, who signed with the Eagles. At some point this year, he will take over the starting role. The people in KC really liked him.
