Bailey actually wants to switch to Safety to prolong his career. It will be interesting how that affects his potential suitors.

why cut Spencer?? the guy is the only good CB we have?

that would cost us at least 15 mill/season. No way they spend that kind of loot on two players.

Spencer is awesome for our division. He lacks top speed, but takes on Larry Fitzgerald every time we play the cards and plays him very well. Despite not having a qb the Cards still have one a great rceiver corbs and we cannot afford to drop Spencer. He doesn't have great ball skills because he's not thrown too much. if we sign ASO we will find out his ball skills because he'll get all the targets. But we will not get another CB if we sign ASO.

dude shawntae isnt the problem. its the other starting corner spot.

If you can get the best shutdown corner in football, in exchange for only money, you do it. Pay Nnamdi whatever he wants.

Spencer is on this team b/c he's the only corner in the league who knows how to cover Fitz consistently (whom we play twice a year)

Nnadmi should be #1 priority for FA, then Woodley (fix either the coverage or pass rush with either one, then fix the other in the draft).

Bailey will command a high contract due to a small FA pool for CBs and only 5-7 clear 1st-2nd round CB talent which then drops off real fast. He's not the shutdown guy he used to be, but still in the top 1/3 of the league.

And just for you smart@$$es, here's the top 7 CBs I'm talking about:

- Patrick peterson
- Prince Amakurma
- Brandon Harris
- Jimmy Smith
- Ras-I Dowling
- Aaron Williams
- Johnny Patrick

Next tier:
- Curtis Brown
- Brandon Burton
- Rashard Carmichael (VaTech CB, don't know his first name)
- Chimi Chekwa

Unless we can get either Prince/Peterson, not worth the picks and should overpay for nnadmi

Why not?

Asomugha will be 30 and Bailey will be 33 at the start of the 2011 season. Investing large amounts of money into players past their prime isn't logical or healthy for long term success. Also, who's to say Asomugha and Bailey want to play in San Francisco?
