IMO, Asomugha will command somewhere around $15 mil a year by himself. We do have the cap room but to invest that much for one player? And Bailey will command mucho dinero as well although not is the same range...

I guess with Bailey being older the only way would be to get him at a discount. But if we restructure clements contract or cut him that could take 8mill off the board. So it still could be possible.
Pay Nnamdi whatever he wants.

I like the idea of bringing in Nnamdi Asomugha, but i think Champ is done.
Also why would you want to cut Spencer?? He's been our best cover man for the past 3 years

Think about it. That 15million will be the best investment on our defense.
It will improve almost if not every position (except for the other corner) on defense. Including our pass rush.

Spencer has minimal ball skills. I think Tarell Brown could do what spencer did this year.
Champ quietly had a good year. It wasn't amazing. But hes a smart football player which our defense seems to lack (IE Clements INT fumble).

That was an estimation from my part. But still, we do not know how the CBA will look in regards the CAP and we still have other people we need to sign. Even if we cut Clements, we will still be on the hook for the remainder of his initial signing bonus so who knows...

Personally, I don't think Spencer is bad.
He misses tackles, but you don't see him getting beat up and down the field like everyone else.
Also, it's only his second full year (I may be wrong here...
). I think he will continue to improve his game.
